I regularly post about sustainability in data centre development, but this interview highlights how sustainability is directly linked to resilience, culture, and long-term performance. I believe sustainability works best when it is treated as a capability, not a compliance exercise. This means building organisations that can adapt, recover, retain good people, and keep performing under stress. It also means recognising that burnout, short-term thinking, and weak trust shape performance. If sustainability only lives in policy documents or slide decks, people notice that superficiality. If it shows up in decision-making, energy management, and the way teams are led, it starts to strengthen trust and culture in a much more meaningful way. #Leadership #Sustainability #Resilience
May 2026The European Commission collects data on data centres’ environmental impact, yet facility-level information remains confidential under the current framework. While that may help address commercial sensitivity concerns, it also raises legitimate questions around public trust, accountability, and access to environmental information. In our industry, energy use, water demand, local impact, and permitting legitimacy are all becoming part of the wider social licence to operate. However, operators need workable protections for genuinely sensitive information. Meanwhile, communities and policymakers need enough visibility to understand the impact of infrastructure that is growing rapidly in their regions. It’s a delicate balancing act, but one that will have huge implications as data centres continue to proliferate globally. #DataCentres #DigitalInfrastructure #Sustainability
May 2026In a lot of leadership environments, constant availability gets mistaken for commitment. As this article highlights, when leaders are expected to operate in a permanent response mode, with no thinking time, no recovery space, and little peer support, performance eventually suffers. In our industry, work can be demanding and fast-paced, particularly as leadership decisions carry significant weight, which is why rest is so vital for supporting judgment, clarity, and improved problem-solving. It’s also important to note that high-performing leaders do better when they have more control over how they deliver outcomes – rather than being measured by visibility or time spent being “on”. There is a myth that "The best leaders are those who are always available for their people". In my experience, the best leaders are those who are available for themselves first- to collect their thoughts, build the vision and strategy , who empower their people to take the risks, make the mistakes and learn, and be available to help support them when needed. This also helps mould people into leaders. Some insightful ideas here about how to use time more effectively, build resilience, and create a supportive community to reduce the risk of burnout. #Leadership #Resilience #WorkplaceCulture
May 2026Everyone talks about what they did during the semester. Few talk about what they build during the break. Day 1 of summer. The calendar is clear. The goals are not. Let's make this count. 🚀 #MastersLife #FIT #EngineeringManagement #Momentum
May 2026🚀 Excited to announce my first Open Source Arduino Library – SmartProcess! I’ve built SmartProcess, a lightweight and efficient non-blocking task scheduler for Arduino using millis(). It helps developers run multiple timed operations without using delay(), keeping the loop() responsive and clean. 🔧 Now officially available in the Arduino Library Manager! You can install it directly using Arduino CLI or IDE. 💡 What it offers: • Non-blocking execution • Multiple independent timers • Continuous & delayed task execution • Simple and lightweight design for embedded systems This library is especially useful for projects where responsiveness and timing control are critical. 📌 Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gnbXx5BM 🤝 I’d love to see the community use, improve, and contribute to this project. Feel free to open issues, suggest features, or submit pull requests! #Arduino #OpenSource #EmbeddedSystems #CPlusPlus #IoT #GitHub #Developers
Apr 2026Proud to share the successful Go-Live of the Cellcard BSS Project in Cambodia. As part of the migration team, it was a great opportunity to contribute to a critical phase of the project and provide onsite support during the go-live, helping ensure a smooth transition and seamless execution. Being directly involved at the customer location during this milestone provided valuable experience in handling real-time challenges and supporting a large-scale telecom transformation. A sincere thanks to the entire team whose collaboration and commitment made this achievement possible. #GoLive #Telecom #BSS #Migration #DigitalTransformation #Cellcard #Cambodia #OnsiteSupport #TelecomTechnology #TelecomInnovation #6DTechnologies #6DTech
Apr 2026CTO: We lost our strongest backend engineer today. Founder: The one handling infra and outages? CTO: Yes. Founder: Did a bigger company hire him? CTO: No. Founder: Then why quit? CTO: He said he was exhausted. Founder: From the workload? CTO: Not exactly. From watching the same database bottleneck, same queue lag, same deployment mistakes come back every month. Founder: That happens in fast moving teams. CTO: He agreed. What he could not accept was that every fix was temporary because nobody wanted to slow down and clean the system properly. Founder: We had deadlines. CTO: He had standards. Founder: So he left because the work was hard? CTO: No. He left because he was not doing engineering anymore. He was just containing damage. The best engineers do not hate hard problems. They hate preventable problems that management keeps normalizing.
