On May 4th 2026, my GEMBA journey at INSEAD officially started — and the past two weeks have already been far more intense, inspiring, and memorable than I ever expected. From laughing together and navigating stressful moments, to solving puzzles, debating ideas, and surviving on very little sleep while studying for exams , every day brought something new. Some moments felt like small victories, others were humbling lessons, but all of them became part of an unforgettable experience. One of the best parts of this journey has been the people. Meeting individuals from different backgrounds, hearing their stories, sharing vulnerabilities, ambitions, and perspectives , it has been incredibly grounding and inspiring at the same time. I genuinely feel lucky to be surrounded by such talented, humble, and interesting people. What amazes me most is that it has only been two weeks, yet it already feels like we have been on this journey together for much longer. If this is just the beginning, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the GEMBA experience brings. Sharing a few moments from these amazing first weeks ❤️🙂❣️ #insead #gemba #gembaflex

It is happening on May 14th — do register and gain valuable insights and information. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Starting a career on the mainframe can feel complex and unstructured—but it doesn’t have to be limiting. This webinar is designed for early-tenure mainframers looking to build confidence, navigate ambiguity, and take ownership of their growth from day one. Drawing on real-world lessons, we’ll explore the mindset shifts that separate beginners from trusted professionals, from understanding the “why” behind systems to developing strong fundamentals, situational awareness, and operational judgment. Attendees will learn practical habits to accelerate learning, avoid common pitfalls, and build credibility through communication, documentation, and reliability. Most importantly, this session reinforces that career growth in the mainframe world isn’t linear or pre-defined—it’s self-driven, shaped by curiosity, persistence, and continuous learning. May 2026Had a great experience co-hosting the Mainframe Reinvention Training session for the Accenture Global team along with my colleague Gundula Folkerts . The session gave us an opportunity to discuss mainframe reinvention and how the platform itself has continuously evolved over the decades — from supporting virtualization back in the 1970s to now enabling LLMs and GenAI workloads to run natively on IBM Z. One important message we discussed was that modernization does not always mean replacing core systems. In many cases, evolving and reinventing the existing platform can be the smartest, most efficient, and lowest-risk approach for businesses. #MitN#AccentureIBMPartnership Andreas Volz Christoph Scheuring Anke Wagner Antonio Aguila Jr.
May 2026Recently I was at the #WBCSD Annual Event in Montreux, where many discussions naturally revolved around AI. Nina Jais , Jonas Kreyenkamp and I co-led a breakout session on #sustainability and #AI . Our discussion focused on how AI can support better supply chain visibility and help decision-makers identify, prioritize and implement decarbonization initiatives across the full value chain. We also had many discussions on how AI is changing the way we work: 🦸♀️ Are we the last generation of #leaders who still lead purely human teams? 🤔 How do we ensure that our #teams continue to use critical thinking, especially as younger generations enter the workforce as AI-native professionals? 🤓 How do we build organizations where AI strengthens human #judgement rather than replacing it? 🌟 Such a great event. So much inspiration. I can’t wait to join again next year. #AI #Sustainability #Decarbonization #SupplyChain #SustainableBusiness #CriticalThinking WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Apr 2026The hidden cost of " chatting" with AI. I have been reading up on Token Efficiency lately, and it’s made me rethink how I interact with AI models. Most of us focus on the output we get, but we rarely think about the "noise" we’re sending. Every word we type, every big PDF we upload, and every long chat history we keep open requires computational power. It’s not a matter of hitting usage limits; it’s about the energy and resources wasted on processing fluff that the AI doesn't even need. I have gathered some practical ways to keep our AI usage a bit leaner and more intentional: 1. The "Caveman" Method: It feels strange, but being overly polite to a model is actually wasteful. Instead of: "Hi there, I was wondering if you could be so kind as to look at this code and maybe suggest a few ways to make it run a bit faster?" Try: "Review code. Optimize for speed. Python." Models process tokens, not etiquette. Cutting the filler helps the AI focus strictly on the logic, saving both energy and processing time. 2. The "Fresh Start" Rule: I didn't realize this at first, but in a long conversation, the AI often re-reads the entire history every time you send a new message. If you’ve finished one task, start a new chat. Carrying around a massive history is like making someone re-read a whole book just to answer a question about the last page. 3. Skip the "PDF Dump": PDFs are often full of "hidden" tokens. Headers, footers, and complex formatting that the AI has to sift through. Converting files to Markdown or plain text before uploading gives the AI a clean signal and cuts out the digital junk. 4. Tiered Intelligence: We don't always need the most powerful, energy-hungry model for every task. Using a "Flash" or "Lite" version for simple summaries or formatting is much more sustainable than using a massive model for a basic job. Being concise is about being more sustainable with the technology we use. When we cut the noise, the AI performs better, and we reduce our digital footprint. I read that by using these tricks and few, you can reduce token usage by as much as 80%. I am curious if anyone has seen a breakdown of what this actually looks like in terms of power consumption and costs. #Ai #Token
Apr 2026🚀 Reflecting on an inspiring day at Hannover Messe 2026! 🏭🤖 Yesterday, I had the pleasure of exploring the halls of #HM26 , and the energy was palpable. As part of the Accenture team, it’s incredibly rewarding to see how we are not just talking about the future of industry, but actively building it with our partners and clients. Here are my top highlights from the day: 1️⃣ Leaders Dialogue: Scaling Industrial AI 💬 A key takeaway from the Leaders Dialogue was the shift from "AI experimentation" to "AI value." The discussion emphasized that Europe’s path to industrial leadership lies in the seamless integration of data ecosystems and cloud-edge infrastructure. It’s all about moving AI from pilot projects to scalable, real-world impact. 2️⃣ Innovation at the Accenture Booth 🌐 Very impressive what we’re showcasing this year. Our "Agentic Factory Intelligence System" (developed with Microsoft) is a game-changer. It demonstrates how autonomous AI agents can drive productivity and resilience to a whole new level. Seeing our vision of the "Agentic Factory" come to life was definitely a personal highlight! 3️⃣ Integrated Technology & Financing: The Engine of Transformation 💰🔗 One of the most crucial insights: Technology alone isn't enough. To truly drive transformation, we must bridge the gap between tech innovation and strategic financing. Integrated models of our Partners are the key to making large-scale industrial shifts both bankable and sustainable. The bottom line: The transformation toward a sustainable, AI-powered industry is in full swing. At Accenture, we are ready to help our clients navigate this journey and #ThinkTechForward . It was great connecting with so many industry leaders and colleagues. To those still at the fair: Have a successful remaining week! #Accenture #HannoverMesse #HM26 #IndustrialAI #Industry40 #DigitalTransformation #FutureOfManufacturing #Innovation
Apr 2026As industrial companies embrace mass customization, complexity has become structural. Products are increasingly configurable, software-driven, and globally sourced – yet product data and configuration logic remain fragmented across PLM, ERP, and service systems. What is missing is a continuous digital thread that connects configuration decisions across the lifecycle. While organizations can describe what could be built, many still lack a trusted, end-to-end view of what is actually inside a specific product instance. This gap limits scalable growth and becomes critical when conditions change. Recent supply disruptions showed how quickly constrained parts or critical raw materials force manufacturers to answer a simple but urgent question: what can we still build and deliver? Without an end-to-end digital configuration thread, the result is manual analysis, conservative decisions, delays, and unnecessary cost. In this session, I will, introduce resilience and sovereignty as a core outcome of mastering customization complexity. I will explains why cost, supply continuity, sustainability, and access to critical raw materials are increasingly intertwined – and why configuration management must evolve from an engineering discipline into a strategic, data-driven capability. Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM) establishes a consistent digital thread across design, manufacturing, service, and return. This enables confident build decisions under constraint and provides the transparency required for circular-economy models, where knowing exactly what exists in each returned product is essential to recover critical raw materials and control future costs.
