Flying to Sweden today, I realized how huge the EMEA area is for Addverb , with a reference near Stockholm and PBSA (Pty) Ltd implementing solutions in South Africa.
May 2026Routine pallet runs are one of the quietest productivity drains in any warehouse operation. Material movement rarely gets the strategic attention it deserves- but the floor doesn't lie. Operators are stretched across repeat runs. Cycle times vary depending on who's on shift. And when movement isn't predictable, planning becomes guesswork. 'Dynamo 500', Addverb 's autonomous mobile robot, is built to change that: ➡️ Payload capacity from 100 kg to 2,500 kg ➡️±20mm accuracy with LiDAR navigation and intelligent mapping ➡️ Real-time obstacle detection with automatic speed reduction ➡️ Adapts to layout changes: no fixed paths, no reprogramming ➡️ Charges from 20-80% in about 8 minutes ➡️ Scales into a fleet with AI-powered management If you're an Australian operation looking to move away from manual material movement and build something more predictable and scalable, let's connect! #Addverb #WarehouseAutomation #AMR #Australia #MaterialMovement #Intralogistics
May 2026I hear it often: "No need for automation — labor is cheap." We heard that about Africa. We heard it about Eastern Europe. We're still hearing it in parts of the Middle East. But here's what actually changes the situation: — Labor availability is shrinking, even in low-cost markets — E-commerce growth demands speed that manual warehouses can't deliver at scale — Energy costs and space constraints are rising everywhere The question is no longer: "Is automation worth the investment?" It's: "How much longer can we afford NOT to automate?" We're booking projects in markets that — two years ago — I wouldn't have put on a priority list. Rethink automation and be ahead of the curve! Apr 2026Addverb is not only about physical automation, but our base strength is in the Software area and we prove that by also delivering many "software only" projects! There are two very good example areas: The first is the partnership with Kardex AutoStore™ , where we "only" supply the WMS (Optimus) and in the meantime we have 29 sites in different stages of implementation across Europe (in all red countries), but also USA, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The picture shows my visit to a site with our Rohan Basu in the Netherlands last year. The other example is our WMS for manual warehouses: We already implemented a lot of sites in India, but will now also implement our first WMS for a manual warehouse in Africa and a second order is under discussion. Our Software (all levels) are extremely important for the delivery of our automated warehouses, but it is not just an "add-on" to our equipment, it is a crucial part of the delivery, that is also very valuable without our Addverb automation equipment.
Apr 2026More than 10'000 of you now follow my journey with Addverb in EMEA. What are the main learnings I have as CEO of an Indian Robotics Scale-up in Europe (since early 2022)? First learning: It takes longer than I expected. First of all, Addverb EMEA is more like a startup as we started in 2022 with nothing. We also did not have huge deep pockets as some other startups, but focused on bottom line, so we did not have endless marketing money. As we also did not have local references, the first projects we did were all very small proof of concepts. Until a year ago, we had limited millions of EURO revenue, but the last year we suddenly quadrupled, as after a range of small projects, customers (and partners) trusted us for larger projects! It also took a bit of time to find our market sweet spot. We started mainly with AMR projects (mobile robotics), but now we see our sweet spot mainly on 4 way pallet shuttle projects (which can be combined with lots of other technologies and solutions) and robotic sortation projects. This is now the vast majority of our projects in the sales phase. Now we are getting more successful, we also have to find the right balance between large projects and smaller ones, as we have only limited resources, so cannot use them only on small ones. This means we are getting a bit more selective. Finding the right way of working intercompany. Our main workforce is based in India and we want to keep it that way to make sure we remain competitive. We however also need local resource for sales, design, project management and service. This requires of heavy cooperation between European and Indian resources, with also very different (work) cultures). We needed some time to find the right way to understand each other and also to split the work efficiently, but also effective for our customers. Working in a small growing setup can be stressful, but is also fun! I learnt that although there were a lot of stressful moments (lack of cash, startup problems, not reaching targets, etc), I noticed I like the freedom I get from my boss, the direct contact with customers and all colleagues. It is very obvious that we are working on something that is growing to something really significant in the warehouse automation space! With those learnings, I look forward to the next 5 years with Addverb and really now start scaling to larger volumes across all of EMEA.
