A new milestone in Good Food Movement 's work as we go underwater with marine conservationist Gabriella D'Cruz for our latest documentary :) Is it our best work yet? Hmmm, the team is divided on that - which I believe is a great reason for you to watch. It means the film is right up there amongst our favourites. It also opens up a Goa that most of us didn't know about. Seaweed has been gaining in popularity recently as a super food and there is also the possibility of growing it in the oceans (which we might have to given how badly we've treated our lands). May 2026Why Akshayakalpa Matters for Pune–Mumbai India’s most dynamic urban corridor—Pune to Mumbai—is growing fast. But with growth comes a critical question: Are our food systems keeping up with our health and sustainability needs? This is exactly where Akshayakalpa can create real impact. Clean, traceable milk for urban consumers Today’s consumers are increasingly aware of antibiotic residues, adulteration, and poor animal welfare. Akshayakalpa’s farm-to-home model ensures transparency, quality testing, and chemical-free milk—building trust in every drop. Bridging rural farmers with premium urban markets The Pune–Mumbai belt has strong purchasing power. Connecting this demand directly with smallholder farmers creates stable income, better price realization, and long-term rural resilience. Sustainability at scale With integrated practices like biogas, composting, water conservation, and fodder development, Akshayakalpa is not just a dairy brand—it’s a climate-positive ecosystem. This aligns perfectly with the sustainability goals of urban India. Urban consumers are shifting from “price-first” to “quality-first.” Organic, ethical, and traceable food is no longer niche—it’s becoming mainstream in cities like Pune and Mumbai. Health-first lifestyle shift From families to fitness-focused individuals, there is a growing demand for organic milk, residue-free products, and nutrient-rich dairy. Akshayakalpa directly addresses this need. Scalable, replicable model The success in Bengaluru proves the model works. Pune–Mumbai offers the next logical expansion with strong logistics, affluent consumers, and awareness. Launching Akshayakalpa in Pune–Mumbai is not just market expansion—it’s about transforming how cities consume milk while empowering farmers and protecting the environment. #SustainableDairy #UrbanConsumption #FarmerFirst #CleanFood #Akshayakalpa #Pune #Mumbai #FoodSystems #ImpactBusiness
Apr 2026A little late to the party, but I am announcing that I have completed my two-year #MBA - #Agribusiness program from Symbiosis Institute of International Business . These two years were a really roller coaster ride for me, as I came in as a shy boy, who was wondering if I would ever be able to fit here, to being a person who is confident and outspoken, and went out with several lifelong friends! (calling them connections would be a crime!) I really want to thank Prof. (Dr.) Alka Maurya , Director SIIB, Sushant Malik , sir, HoD Agribusiness, Dr. Rahul Priyadarshi , my faculty mentor, and Dr. Viraja Bhat , HoD IT, who have always guided me and made me a confident person with every meeting. I can’t really spell out the names of the students who had helped and provided me physical and mental support, but here are the big notable ones: Soumyadeep , Aman , Kruthika , Pradeepthi and Santhosh (my beloved study groupmates!); S5neha, Uddhav , Diksha , Atharva , and Subhajit (my agrobiz team!), Adarsh , Harsh , Manish , Vedant , Arunima , Divya , Aayush , Jibin , Devansh, Tejanshu , Sushanth etc. you guys were always there for me whenever I needed something to talk out. Not forgetting my GLC team of Aaryan, Amritesh , Saumya , Tejashree , Saiyukta, and Nupur . Talking of floormates, I won't forget the late night fun filled talked with my beloved roommates, Chandrakanth and Nischal (two pretty famous personalities 😍🤩) backed by Ankush , Indraj , Advait , Arun , Sanket Desai, Anuj , Mahesh …..dear will always remember the laughter-filled discussions, out-of-context discussions. 😂😂😂 Thanks for making my MBA memorable and joyful, in spite of hardships and struggles. All the best for everyone else for their career and future! Not signing off! (as memories gonna stay forever!)❤ Atmadeep Upadhyay
