Google just published its official guide on optimizing for generative AI search. Three things stood out. Sharing what actually matters 👇 1. The mythbusters needed to be said For months, vendors and consultants have been selling “GEO solutions” with zero baselines. Google was blunt. You can ignore: → llms.txt files and “special” AI markup → “Chunking” content into AI-friendly pieces → Rewriting your site in AI-friendly language → Chasing inauthentic brand mentions → Overfocusing on structured data This list mattered. Because when a $20B industry hears “AI search,” the first instinct is to buy a tool. Google just told everyone, most of those tools are solving problems that don’t exist. Ask any vendor pitching you GEO: what’s your baseline? What changed? Compared to what? If they can’t answer, you have your answer. 2. First-hand experience is the new differentiator Google’s own example in the guide: ❌ “7 Tips for First-Time Homebuyers” ✅ “Why We Waived the Inspection & Saved Money: A Look Inside the Sewer Line” One is commodity. An LLM can produce 50 versions in a minute. The other has a human in it. A decision. A consequence. A story only one person can tell. Guess which one gets cited in AI Overviews. The “good content” kept shifting: → Keyword density → Long-form → E-A-T → E-E-A-T → Helpful content 3. Agentic experiences are the real next layer This was the most under-discussed part of the guide. AI agents are no longer theoretical. They book. They compare. They transact. They read your site differently than humans do, through screenshots, DOM structure, accessibility trees. Google pointed to two things worth watching: → Agent-friendly website best practices → Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) In travel, finance, retail, agentic readiness will define the next 18 months. Clean DOM. Accessible markup. Structured product data. Not because Google said so. Because the agent buying a flight on behalf of a user won’t tolerate a broken first-fold. #SEO #AI #GenAI
May 2026AI collapses the cost of doing, so your leverage moves to everything around the doing. Framing the problem, decomposing it, defining "good," building the rig to measure it, routing the work, knowing the cost. The craft shifts from writing the code to engineering the conditions under which the AI's speed produces something correct.
May 2026A business can show strong sales, healthy margins, and impressive growth on paper, yet still struggle to survive because cash is trapped in working capital mainly receivables, inventory and supplier commitments. Many businesses fail not because they are unprofitable, but because: A- Customers pay late. B- Inventory moves slowly. C- Cash is committed before collections arrive. D- Payables become due faster than cash inflows. This is why working capital management and ROCE analysis are just as critical as profitability. Revenue drives growth, but cash flow keeps the business alive.
May 2026This is a Great news but 2 things to keep in mind before celebrating: 1. Good % of AI visits carry a referrer ( only referrer sources will be considered as AI Assistant Traffic) The rest still land in Direct or goes to referral. 2. AI Mode is not in this bucket. It still flows as Organic Search ( or may be direct 👀 ) #SEO #GEO #GA4
May 2026Quoting our amazing CTO today: “We are all juniors when it comes to AI.” And honestly, I agree. For the first time in a long time, it feels like everyone is learning at the same time. Junior, senior, director, CTO, CEO… we all have access to the same tools, the same information, and the same opportunity to grow. The difference now is not title or years of experience. What really makes the difference is the person themselves: Are they willing to learn? Adapt? Keep up with the change? AI is moving fast, and I think the gap won’t be between juniors and seniors anymore. It will be between people who adapt and people who choose not to. And I truly believe it’s our turn to help shape this movement in the Arab world. Not just to watch the future being built somewhere else, but to be part of building it ourselves with our ideas, our talents, and our impact.
