GOLF TRANSFORMED MY BUSINESS!! It's another long post #$@!&^*. A 3 mins read to help your leadership growth. That may sound strange, but it’s true. The biggest lesson golf reinforced for me as a leader is this: accept the loss, stay vulnerable, let go, and trust others with the reins. At Alpha Omega , I’m the Visionary and Eric is the Integrator. Together, we’ve built our own version of the EOS V/I relationship, with slight changes that make it ours: AOS. What has made the difference is not just adopting a framework. It’s how we’ve lived it. So I’ve tried to measure it in a way that keeps me honest. One of my personal KPIs has actually been MY GOLF HANDICAP. Why? Because the more I truly let go inside the business, the more space I create to think, recharge, and operate where I bring the most value. For me, a lower handicap is not just about golf, it’s evidence that I’m not gripping the company too tightly. For me, that has meant leading with more vulnerability, being honest about where I add the most value, and where I need to let go. It has meant empowering Eric more intentionally, developing him into the ideal Integrator, giving him room to own outcomes, and helping him course-correct without taking back control. That is not easy for any founder. It can feel like loss before it feels like growth. But I’ve learned that accepting that feeling is part of the transformation. When you stop gripping everything so tightly and give other strong intellectual leaders the figurative reins, you create the conditions for better decisions, stronger execution, and better outcomes. One of the ways I measure how well I’m letting go is actually through my golf handicap. Because for me, golf represents space. Space to think. Space to trust. Space to operate where I’m most valuable. The more I let go inside the company, the more the company grows without depending on me for every decision. And the more that happens, the more I know we’re building something sustainable. That shift has transformed our business. Eric has grown. Our leadership model has matured. The company is stronger, healthier, and more scalable. Sometimes the best thing a leader can do is not hold on tighter. It’s let go enough for others to rise. That’s what has brought out the best outcomes for us. #Leadership #EOS #Visionary #Integrator #Entrepreneurship #BusinessGrowth #GovCon #AlphaOmegaA sharper hook option: LET GO TO GROW. Apr 2026A heartfelt thank you to every donor, volunteer, and the incredible team at Childhelp® . While we didn’t break records this year, the strength and commitment of this community were on full display. In a challenging market, your dedication to supporting America’s children shows just how powerful it is when we come together with purpose. Together, we are making a real difference; thank you for your continued support. "Harmony" is how we at Alpha Omega strive to live each day—balancing work, family, health, and giving back. I make it a priority to leave the office by 4 to spend time with my daughters and stay active. Last Saturday at the ChildHelp gala was a powerful reminder that even as markets shift, our commitment to giving back remains strong. We grow when we nurture every facet of life. Apr 2026WOMEN BELONG IN EVERY SEAT AT THE TABLE—AND MY DAUGHTER IS LEARNING THAT FIRSTHAND. Last Thursday, I attended a happy hour hosted by the d8 Group , aptly named because in chess, D8 is the queen’s position. They empower their clients like queens, but for me, the meaning was deeper. D8 is led by an incredible woman, Reeba Magulick , and I brought along my 9-year-old daughter. WHY? Because I believe in showing her firsthand that leadership is not defined by gender. Whether we’re talking about Reba at D8, Carol Monroe at RedSky , or the powerhouse women at Foxtrot Services , Nicole Sanders and Christine Williams these are examples I want my daughter to see up close. I bring her along not just to watch, but to learn: that women deserve equal footing. That family and work need not compete but can intertwine. And ultimately, that empowering women is about leveling the playing field. At Alpha Omega, I’ve made that commitment, like appointing Tanja Betzler-Guerra to lead our culture. I’m building relationships and a future my daughter will thrive in. HERE IS TO THE WOMEN of Alpha Omega , both internal and external, PAST AND PRESENT that I respect, admire and thank!! Apr 2026As of April 3, I’ve officially closed out a nearly 10-year chapter in Human Resources, including the last five years at Alpha Omega . I’m proud of the work I’ve done, the teams I’ve supported, and the relationships I’ve built along the way. HR has been a meaningful part of my career and my growth. After careful consideration, I made the decision to pursue a new career path. I’ve been accepted into a program to become an MRI Technologist. This is a significant shift, one I’m approaching with focus and intention as I transition into the healthcare field. While I’m pursuing this next path, I’m open to remote, part-time HR opportunities where I can continue to contribute and stay connected to the work I’ve done over the years. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey so far. I’d like to take a moment to recognize Krystal Carretta, SHRM-SCP, CSM , Eleni Z. A. , Jennifer Martinez Correa , Tanja Betzler-Guerra , Kacey McLelland, George Paulick, MS, SHRM-CP , Rosemarie Dille, PHR, SHRM-CP , Gautam Ijoor , Beheshta B. , Brittany Watson Kosa , Jailine Veizaga, SHRM-CP , Michael Hill , Roshan Anand , and anyone else I may have missed. I’m excited for what’s next!
