May 2026In a recent Morning Consult survey conducted on behalf of the American Bankers Association , consumers are sending a clear and consistent message to Washington: the credit card marketplace is already competitive, valuable, and working for the people who rely on it. Nearly 7 in 10 Americans (69%) say they have plenty of choices when selecting a card, and 73% say access to credit cards is important for managing household finances. Fraud protection, rewards, convenience, and emergency access to credit top the list of benefits consumers value most. Consumers support competition and innovation, but not policies that reduce choice, raise costs, or limit access to credit. Learn more about the survey findings here: https://aba.social/3Qql2uy

Apr 2026Let’s not panic, but Reese Witherspoon has a point. The jobs women hold are 3x more likely to be automated by AI, yet women are using AI at a rate 25% lower than men on average. This is a call to action. Women have always adapted - and AI is no different. My advice: ⌨️Start small: use AI to draft, summarize, analyze, or brainstorm—not to replace your expertise, but to amplify it. ⌨️Get curious: learn where AI can save you time so you can spend more of it on judgment, strategy, and leadership. ⌨️Build visible value: people who pair deep, practical knowledge with AI fluency will be indispensable. The goal isn’t to compete with AI. It’s to use it to work smarter, lead better, and future‑proof our careers. Let’s not sit still. Let’s skill up—and bring others with us. Apr 2026It's late Friday afternoon and the weekend is about to kick off, but there's been a sea change in supervisory guidance from the federal banking agencies. The Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation all moved to rescind much of their guidance on model risk management and provide updates. The new issuances take a risk-tailored approach, generally exclude community banks with $30 billion and under in assets, and clarify that generative and agentic AI are out of scope. There's a lot to absorb, and if that's not enough there will be an upcoming request for information on banks' use of generative and agentic AI, so we can expect more releases in the future. This is something the American Bankers Association has been urging for some time, so it's very professionally fulfilling to see the regulators take steps to implement these policy priorities. I'll post the agency press releases (with links to the guidance itself) in the comments.
