May 2026We don't treat stress like the public health issue it is. We should. Honored to join my colleague and friend Dr. Georges Benjamin during Mental Health Awareness Month for an honest conversation about what chronic stress does to our bodies and minds, and what actually helps. The evidence is clear, and the tools are real. Now we have to use them. Take a listen and share with someone who needs it.
May 2026I said this in an interview and I mean it more every week. Wellness is not something you earn after the work is done. It is the condition for doing the work at all. The Well newsletter is where I sit with these truths. For the leader who is still figuring out what comes next." Subscribe → link in bio #TheWell #WellnessIsYourBirthright #WeekendFromTheWell

May 2026“The job of an artist is to be themselves at any cost.” — Sinead O’Connor True artistry demands honesty. Sinead O’Connor reminds us that creative work loses its power the moment we try to fit in or please others. Being yourself can feel risky, but it’s the only path to work that’s real, memorable, and alive. Authenticity is the artist’s true responsibility. #philosophyquotes #artwisdom #deepthoughts
May 2026Happy Birthday to the legendary physicist 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘍𝘦𝘺𝘯𝘮𝘢𝘯, one of the most influential, charismatic, and brilliant scientific minds of the 20th century. Often called “The Great Explainer,” Feynman possessed a rare gift for making deeply complex ideas in physics understandable and exciting to ordinary people. A masterful teacher, an original thinker, and an endlessly curious mind, he inspired generations through both his scientific discoveries and his unforgettable way of communicating science. Feynman transformed modern theoretical physics through his pioneering work in quantum electrodynamics (QED), path integrals, and particle physics. He is especially renowned for introducing “Feynman diagrams” — elegant graphical representations of particle interactions that dramatically simplified calculations in quantum field theory and became indispensable tools in modern physics. His contributions to QED helped shape one of the most precise and successful theories ever developed in science, producing predictions that have been experimentally confirmed to extraordinary accuracy. In 1965, Feynman shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with Julian Schwinger and Shin'ichirō Tomonaga for their fundamental work in quantum electrodynamics, the theory describing how light and matter interact at the quantum level. Their work reshaped our understanding of elementary particles and remains one of the greatest achievements in modern physics. [Image: 𝘈 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘔𝘳. May 2026Update on top academic publishers announcements. I've also moved all my blogger posts to substack - for better or worse....
May 2026EDIT: Wow, one slot filled already. Reach out if interested. (Big department meetings and educational events are ideal places for this presentation). Every year, I set aside a few slots to speak pro bono. Graduate programs. Leadership forums. The right non-profits. My calendar is filling up. This year’s keynote: “Being Right Isn’t Enough – Closing the Readiness Gap” It’s a 40-minute, story-driven talk built around three moments: – Momma jokes gone wrong – Space Shuttle Challenger disaster – An Alabama cotton field Strange combination. Completely connected. It’s about what happens when important ideas miss the mark, even when they’re correct. In labs. In leadership. In high-stakes decisions. Being right isn’t what moves things forward. Being heard does. If you know me (or kinda know me… or aren’t sure why you know me), and you’ve got something coming up where this fits, reach out. I'll even cover the travel expenses for these... it's what I do. DM me here or Email me at Jeff@Speakworth.com Website: www.Speakworth.com
