Apr 2026Everybody has an innate desire to understand who they are and where they came from. Most people just don’t act on it until something makes it real. For me, it was reading my great uncle’s firsthand account from World War II. A few handwritten pages about a patrol, an ambush, and the moment he was wounded. It’s the kind of story that could have easily been lost. That’s what motivates the work we do at Ancestry . For decades, we’ve been building the largest collection of historical records in the world. Today, AI is helping us bring those records to life in entirely new ways—taking documents that were once nearly impossible to read and make every word searchable, turning them into stories, and helping more people connect with their past in a format that resonates. The goal isn’t technology for its own sake. It’s helping people understand who they are, where they come from, and making those stories easier to preserve and share before they’re gone. I sat down with Brian Sozzi at Yahoo Finance to talk about where Ancestry is today and where we’re headed next. More here: https://lnkd.in/e2ChPD5z
Apr 2026Today Ancestry Australia launches free access to 4 billion global records. I led the strategy and got hands-on in the execution, using data and prior learnings to shape the approach and deliver a large-scale, multi-channel media plan, working with global teams across timezones and disciplines. Not many roles let you own both the thinking and the doing, and from what I’ve seen, it’s a rarer combination than it probably should be. It’s become a bit of a superpower for me. I built the campaign to reflect the needs of modern Australia, drawing on one of the most diverse global record collections to help more people uncover meaningful, often unexpected stories. Free access isn't something we get to do often. If you’ve ever wondered about your story, this is the moment to explore it. https://lnkd.in/gTh8cfhf https://lnkd.in/gBU3qcqj
Apr 2026I recently sat down with Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson at SEMAFOR to talk about how we’re accelerating growth at Ancestry . Since becoming CEO over the past year, we’ve refocused on what matters most—our customers and their family stories. That’s meant getting closer to their needs, simplifying how we operate so we can move faster, and investing in the content and experiences that bring those stories to life. We’re seeing real momentum with stronger engagement, rising customer satisfaction, and subscription revenue growth. We also touched on how AI is transforming family history, our plans for global expansion, and lessons I’ve carried with me as a leader—including the importance of staying deeply connected to your customer.
