My first-ever book is now LIVE on the Amazon Kindle Store! 🚀 As an engineer, you’ve probably debugged your codebase thousands of times. But have you ever thought about debugging your sales process? A lot of engineer-led companies fail in their first few years—not because they suck at building products, but because they never learn how to sell. That’s exactly why I wrote Debugging Sales. It’s for my fellow engineers who are thinking about starting an IT services company, building a SaaS product, launching a startup, or even starting a side hustle. And I deliberately wrote it in the language engineers actually speak. No complicated marketing jargon. Just marketing and sales explained through systems, processes, debugging, experiments, and engineering concepts you already understand. Debugging Sales is a practical guide to marketing and sales written specifically for software engineers, developers, technical founders, and anyone who thinks in systems. If you can debug code, you can learn to debug sales. And now, my first-ever book is live. ❤️ Amazon: https://lnkd.in/dRmPrEut Gumroad: mhjhamza.gumroad.com #DebuggingSales #SoftwareEngineers #TechnicalFounders #Startup #Sales #Marketing #AmazonKindle

Thank You! ❤️ 12 people have already supported and bought my book. I know 12 might not sound like a huge number, but when you put something you genuinely care about out into the world, every single purchase means a lot. Especially when the book is about something I’ve noticed is often missing from technical careers: understanding sales without having to become a “salesperson.” To the 12 of you who bought Debugging Sales — thank you. Thank you for trusting me, supporting my work, and giving the book a chance. This is just the beginning. If you’ve read it, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think. And if you haven’t yet, you can check it out here: mhjhamza.gumroad.com — Hamza

Woot woot! My first ever book - 7 copies sold! 🙌 A Software Engineer's Guide to Marketing & Selling You know how to build software. You understand systems, APIs, dependencies, pipelines, and debugging. But when it comes to finding customers, selling your work, positioning yourself, or figuring out why nobody is buying, suddenly there’s no stack trace. Debugging Sales is a practical guide to marketing and sales written specifically for software engineers, developers, technical founders, and other people who think in systems. Buy it on Gumroad! https://lnkd.in/dSgRSGvi #mhjhamza #debuggingSales

I just published a book. 📖 And honestly, this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It’s called Debugging Sales: A Software Engineer’s Guide to Marketing & Selling. I wrote it because I spent years learning how to build software, but almost no time learning how to sell what I built. As engineers, we're taught to think in systems: - APIs. - Dependencies. - Pipelines. - Inputs and outputs. - Debugging. But when it comes to business, suddenly there’s no stack trace. - A prospect goes cold. - A pitch doesn't work. - Nobody responds to your outreach. - You don't know who your ideal customer is. And your instinct is usually: “I just need to work harder.” I learned the hard way that sometimes the problem isn't you. It's the system. Back in 2023, I went to GITEX in Dubai hoping to generate customers for Numpy Labs. I printed T-shirts. Printed A3 flexes. Prepared myself. Then I got there and realized... Everyone was selling. Nobody was really paying attention to the guy walking around without a booth trying to sell engineering services. I had spent money getting there, but I hadn't answered the most basic question: Who exactly am I trying to sell to? That wasn't a sales problem. It was a system-design problem. And that realization became the foundation for this book. I built Debugging Sales around the same mental models engineers already understand — APIs, runtime environments, session management, tech stacks, CI/CD pipelines, third-party APIs, infrastructure costs, and revenue streams. Underneath it all is a simple idea: You don't need to become a stereotypical salesperson. You need to understand how the business system works. If you're a: → Software engineer → Developer → Technical founder → Engineering leader → Freelancer / consultant → Builder trying to get your first customers …I wrote this for you. It's now available on Gumroad. If you've ever thought: “I'm good at building things. I just don't know how to sell them.” This book is for you. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dSgRSGvi And if you decide to buy it — thank you. Seriously. This is my first book, and your support means a lot to me. Please like, comment and re-share as much as you can.

Day 51 Complete ✅ July 06, 2026 Today was all about taking a step back and reassessing the roadmap. I spent time researching which skills will remain valuable in the AI era and whether Power BI and Microsoft Fabric still deserve a place in my long-term learning journey. I also revisited the data engineering design patterns and core skills that I believe will continue to matter, even as I transition toward becoming an AI Architect. To support that, I started reading Data Engineering Design Patterns. The goal isn't to learn everything - it's to focus on the skills that will stay relevant as AI continues to reshape the industry. 49 more days to go! 🚀 #LearningBeyond30 #MicrosoftFabric #DP600 #DataAnalytics #AnalyticsEngineering #PowerBI #ContinuousLearning #mhjhamza

Day 48 Complete ✅ July 03, 2026 Today, I switched gears slightly and started exploring the DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer learning path. The focus was on the fundamentals of data analytics in Microsoft Fabric, including: * The role of an Analytics Engineer in bridging data engineering and business intelligence. * How Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Semantic Models work together to deliver analytics. * Why a well-designed semantic model is essential for consistent reporting and self-service BI. * The importance of choosing the right storage and compute layer based on analytical requirements. #LearningBeyond30 #MicrosoftFabric #DP600 #DataAnalytics #AnalyticsEngineering #PowerBI #ContinuousLearning #mhjhamza

Day 45 Complete ✅ June 30, 2026 Today's focus was getting hands-on with Microsoft Fabric. After spending yesterday revising the fundamentals, I wanted to understand how those concepts come together in practice. I explored Dataflow Gen2 and the role it plays in building data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the Fabric ecosystem. A few things I learned: • Dataflow Gen2 – A low-code ETL/ELT experience built on Power Query that can ingest, clean, and transform data before loading it into OneLake. • Power Query – Fabric uses the same transformation engine familiar to Excel and Power BI users, making data preparation both visual and reusable. • OneLake Integration – Dataflows can load data directly into Lakehouses and Warehouses, creating a unified storage layer for analytics and AI. • Reusable Data Pipelines – Instead of writing custom scripts for every ingestion process, Dataflow Gen2 allows transformations to be reused across projects and workloads. Modern data engineering isn't just about writing Spark jobs. It's about choosing the right tool for the right workload. Sometimes that's PySpark, sometimes SQL, and sometimes a low-code dataflow that can be built and maintained much more efficiently. #LearningBeyond30 #MicrosoftFabric #DataEngineering #ContinuousLearning #mhjhamza

Day 44 Complete ✅ June 29, 2026 I spent the day revising Microsoft Fabric fundamentals: • Lakehouses and Delta tables • OneLake and Shortcuts • Semantic models and Direct Lake • Security and governance • Real-Time Intelligence • Deployment pipelines and Git integration • Monitoring and optimization Microsoft Fabric isn't just a collection of services. It's a tightly integrated platform where storage, analytics, governance, and real-time processing are all connected. The more I study Fabric, the more I appreciate how many small details matter in real-world implementations. Things like where a shortcut lives, when Direct Lake falls back to DirectQuery, or who can bypass RLS can completely change a solution's behavior. #LearningBeyond30 #MicrosoftFabric #DataEngineering #ContinuousLearning #mhjhamza
