View source postTypically, April usually means birthday month for me - this year it also meant new job month! The classic new job anxiety starter pack didn’t really apply this time - I luckily got to stay at Attentive , so the “do I have any mates here”, “what is my commute going to be like”, "I hope they give me a Mac" sorts of fears were already handled. What I did have was a slightly more specific set of concerns: - I have spent 18 months selling a platform I have hardly used (but thought I knew better than anything) - I have responsibilities that are entirely new to me - No one is making me cold call anymore (this one still feels a bit illegal) The original plan was SDR → AE. Sensible, conventional, standard. I sold this vision to my manager with full confidence, approximately six months before quietly realising it may not be my path. So I did what anyone does these days - asked ChatGPT for some help. (Claude wasn’t around yet, I promise I’m committed now). Fed it my CV, got some ideas back, and “account management” kept coming up. That was enough to get me talking to teammates, seniors, people who actually knew things. And then I parked it, because I didn’t think it was on the table, focuses were clear: continue SDRing, hit quota and see what happens next. Until my manager called and said: “We have a real shot at CS - you in?” Six weeks in: accounts handed over, relationships being built, platform quickly making sense. The learning curve has been steep, genuinely steep, but that’s good. The Slacks alone tell a story (and expose my sloppy typing). But asking questions quickly and learning fast is a pretty underrated skill, and one I’m leaning into hard right now. Four year old me had absolutely no idea this is where she’d end up, she wanted to be a pop star. To be fair, she also had no idea what a CRM was 🤪 (Jokes aside, SDRing was genuinely one of the best things I did - I’ll get into that another time.)
May 2026Last year, I had the opportunity to speak at Attentive 's Thread UK event, and it was genuinely one of the best marketing industry events I’ve been part of. Great conversations, sharp ideas, brilliant people, and a real focus on what’s next for customer engagement. This year, it’s back even bigger. Twice the size. An incredible speaker line-up. More brands, more ideas, more practical takeaways, and, from what I hear, an even bigger and better party afterwards at the Dorchester in London. If you’re in my marketing network and thinking about where to spend the 2nd June this year, I’d definitely recommend being there. P.S: You might also see me on stage again... May 2026Been digging into this new data from Attentive and it's a good reminder that SMS performance isn't just about the offer, it's how you say it. Things like urgency, second-person language, and even calling out stock levels can meaningfully lift conversion rates. This breakdown is based on billions (yes, billions) of real messages, which makes it a lot more actionable than generic "best practices" we see sometimes. Worth a read if you're working on SMS right now → https://lnkd.in/gyCYyskw
May 2026Feels like everyone's talking about AI agents right now, but most of the conversation skips over the part that actually matters once you start using them... What happens when the system is the one making decisions and taking actions? 👀 That's where things get messy fast if you don't have the right structure in place. This piece from Attentive gets into that side of it and how to think about scaling AI without losing control of performance, brand, or compliance. If you're past the "AI is interesting" phase and into actually using it, this is worth your time. And p.s. it's a series, so stay tuned for more! → https://lnkd.in/gExj2Dpz
May 2026The tech partnerships team at Attentive is growing! We're looking for an exceptional partner manager to own some of our most important partnerships, including Shopify and other strategic platforms. This role comes with high ownership, high visibility, and real room to build. If this role is for you, or someone you know, reach out! https://lnkd.in/gZPXq-6k
Apr 2026I don’t post jobs very often, but this one’s worth it. I genuinely love working at Attentive . We’re in a really unique position right now, helping brands rethink how they connect with customers in a mobile-first, AI-driven world. Not by layering on more tools, but by rebuilding how marketing actually works. It’s fast, it’s challenging, and you’re working on problems that actually matter for the future of the industry. If you’re excited by: - AI that actually changes how things operate - Solving real customer problems (not just shipping features) - Being part of a team that’s pushing the space forward You should take a look 👇 https://lnkd.in/ePQUTQEB
Apr 2026Most marketers assume email migration is going to be painful. Slow. Manual. Risky. A months-long project that distracts the team and delays results. That assumption made sense — when you're moving from one standalone tool to another, it basically is. But what if the reason migration feels hard isn't the migration itself? It's the way most email platforms were built. Most email tools were designed in a different era — when channels operated separately, identity was incomplete, and sending more messages still worked. So they optimized for that world: more campaigns, more segmentation, more manual work. Attentive built Email differently — from the ground up as part of a system, not a standalone tool. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: 👤 Email starts with identity, not just a list. If you can't recognize who someone is, you can't personalize anything that matters. 🔄 Email doesn't operate in a silo. It picks up where SMS leaves off. It adapts to browsing behavior. It changes when someone purchases. 📈 Email gets better over time. Every click, every browse, every action feeds the next message. Performance compounds instead of resetting. 🤖 And increasingly, AI handles the orchestration Deciding what to send, when to send it, and which channel will actually resonate. When Email is built this way, switching to it looks completely different. You're not rebuilding everything from scratch. You're plugging into a system that already knows how to work. In our recent Email migration survey of Attentive customers, conducted with UserEvidence : ⚡ Nearly 80% of brands completed migration in 60 days or less ✅ Over 80% said it met or exceeded expectations 📊 62% are already seeing improved performance within that same window Migration isn't the hard part. The hard part is staying on a platform that was never built for how marketing works today. #emailmarketing #omnichannelmarketing #marketing #attentive #attentiveemail
