This year at CeMAT Southeast Asia , we’re excited to showcase how AutoStore™ and Dematic is transforming warehouse automation—delivering smarter, faster, and more scalable fulfillment solutions. What makes today’s demonstration especially exciting is the introduction of VersaPort—an innovation designed to enhance good to person efficiency by giving customers the possibilities of a single station, multi station for kitting and staging, and also robotic picking! Wait no more and come by Dematic booth B1, right at the entrance! See you soon! Philipp Schiller Sky Lee Chua Yew Chye Daniel Chiam Vignesh Krishnamoorthy Schiller Ekaterina
May 2026𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 & 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸 Synergies with AutoStore™ For me, this video illustrates one of our currently often discussed use case scenarios when combining latest AutoStore product releases https://lnkd.in/euPtbAhZ with packing efficencies in process orchestrations: The decisive factor is no longer “which pack machine”, but “which system architecture”. The real question becomes: How well are picking, buffering, sequencing and packaging orchestrated and how resilient is the setup against order volatility and peaks? In several system design discussions, a recurring pattern emerges: Using AutoStore and our bins as a 𝗱𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿, rather than a linear flow element. Decoupling pick and pack so packaging does not dictate system throughput letting packaging run on a stable, optimized order stream instead of peak‑driven operational risks. This is where 𝗕𝗼𝘅‑𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 concepts often show their strength, particularly in multi‑line order environments with high variability as indicated in the CMC Packaging Automation Genesys machine series. However, in highly standardized operations, with predictable order structures and clear material strategies, 𝗕𝗼𝘅‑𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 is a very deliberate and valid choice as well (in case of buffering the erected cartons inside the AutoStore before picking enables more parcel footprints to be used than using conveyors to workstations). Ranpak , Opitz Packaging Systems , Panotec | Machinery & Automations for packaging on demand 𝗕𝗼𝘅-𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 might be the most complex version of Pick & Pack where a clear allocation from parcel volume to item master data quality is the challenge to be managed such as the Packsize X6 machine enables. 🧠 My question to the community: - What are the most sensible AutoStore + packaging use cases you see in practice? - Where does Box‑Last clearly outperform (volatility, peaks, multi‑line, sequencing)? - Where is Box‑First the right architectural decision (simplicity, standardization, cost logic)? - How critical is WMS/WCS orchestration in making these setups work in reality? Looking forward to concrete examples, lessons learned and differing viewpoints. #PackagingAutomation #BoxLast #BoxFirst #FulfillmentEngineering #WarehouseDesign #SystemThinking
Apr 2026Pre-picking, consolidation, buffering...What if your AutoStore™ system could do more, without adding more? Meet VersaAI™. Designed to extend AutoStore™ ’s robotic picking capabilities, VersaAI™ unlocks more from your operation. More time: Orders are pre-picked and buffered during off-peak hours, so your team can hit the ground running. More space: Partially filled Bins are consolidated, increasing storage density and maximizing capacity. More productivity: Less time transferring, more time picking - a system designed to keep performance moving. The result: More throughput, more flexibility, and more value - day and night.
