Stepping out of my daily AI world.. and back into the Salesforce world momentarily to share with my network. Know any great #salesforce builders? Know a good team builder that loves CRM? Axiom is hiring a leader for our Salesforce team. Send your recommendations my way or to Meg (Pierson) Schutz! #hiring https://lnkd.in/gJy52Z8W
Jun 2026Had a great time at In-House Connect’s Palo Alto event last night, meeting tons of new legal practitioners alongside my Axiom colleagues, and had the opportunity to swing by the SF happy hour tonight. Thanks to Shai Mehani for putting these events together and getting those connections going for in-house legal teams!
Jun 2026It has been great to see the impact of great tools on great work. Since our early conversations with Legora and Max Junestrand, to our first deployments, to real world impact our clients are seeing, the partnership between Axiom and Legora is changing the way our clients are getting work done. The numbers tell it best: • Reviewing 16,000+ agreements ahead of a major transaction and reducing review timelines from one year to five weeks • Digitizing 2,000 leases across a 93-property portfolio while reducing legal staffing requirements by 80% • Migrating 1,400 contracts into a CLM system with 20–30% higher accuracy than a client's existing AI tool • Processing hundreds of supplier agreements in days rather than weeks while reducing costs by 70% compared to outside counsel Pairing technology with great talent is the way to get outsize impact on work. I look forward to what is next!
Jun 2026Now that I am back from Axiom's #pride kickoff in Chicago, it is time to head to Palo Alto and San Francisco for In-House Connect's mixers. I'm looking forward to connect with in-house clients and colleagues who are navigating the rapidly shift AI landscape in #Legal. If you are an in-house lawyer in the bay area and want to connect, let me know or say hi this week.
Jun 2026Anthropic continues to build a robust ecosystem around Claude and the legal industry should pay attention to where this is heading. Legaltech Hub's coverage of the Claude for Legal launch is worth a careful read. I've previously theorized that the company that builds the "best box": a single interface that understands what to call, what to do, and how to execute, will define how legal teams navigate the AI era. Claude for Legal is a serious push toward that vision. A few things are worth unpacking because not all of this is as straightforward as a new entry point. The connector strategy is smart, but there is some fine print. Getting full value from certain connectors requires separate third-party subscriptions and, in some cases, a higher tier than you may currently be on. It is the same double-dip we saw when Harvey and Thomson Reuters CoCounsel launched together – you had to have a license to both pieces of software in order to access the functionality. Compute costs for agentic work are even higher than previous direct LLM interactions, and this multi-licensing pattern is increasing, not decreasing. The enterprise support layer is still an open question. For solo practitioners and tech-forward in-house teams with governance already in place, this is a genuine unlock. For larger organizations, the harder problem remains: how do you share AI configurations across teams, govern how they are used, and set boundaries on how far the agent goes? This is where purpose-built platforms like Legora and Harvey still hold meaningful ground with enterprise controls, team-level governance, and defined boundaries on agency that Anthropic still has not made meaningful progress on. Which connects to what I hear most from in-house legal teams today. A year ago, no one wanted AI-only review. Now agentic workflows are becoming less deterministic with less visibility into decision making, not more. Did the agent call the right tool? Can you inspect it, audit it, and defend it? The education gap will widen as the solution becomes more complex. This is something we are tracking closely in Axiom's upcoming Legal AI study. Interestingly, I believe the redlining capability is the biggest headline. That was a moat two years ago. Now everyone is doing it, and even Microsoft has acknowledged the gap in CoPilot functionality. At Axiom, staying tool-agnostic is a recognition that the tools will keep changing. The real work is helping in-house legal teams build the judgment and governance to use them well, not just access them. https://lnkd.in/gg_rqYYV
