We made Vidal Health app much faster by using JSI the correct way — not the LLM-generated “use random functions that work” way 😄 We moved hot paths from HostObject lookups to direct HostFunctions injected into the runtime globals and switched some payload transport from Base64 strings to JSI::ArrayBuffer A sample code below. (Not the actual production code — and this snippet is still highly unoptimized. You can probably make it 3x faster again.) auto fn = jsi::Function::createFromHostFunction( runtime, jsi::PropNameID::forAscii(runtime, "getData"), 0, [](jsi::Runtime& rt, const jsi::Value&, const jsi::Value*, size_t) -> jsi::Value { auto buffer = jsi::ArrayBuffer(rt, size); memcpy( buffer.data (rt), bytes, size); return buffer; } ); runtime.global ().setProperty(runtime, "getData", std::move(fn)); Instead of: std::string base64 = encode(data); No unnecessary serialization. No Base64 overhead. Far fewer allocations on critical paths. Also some other RN optimisations helped Or I could have just used Nitro Modules by Marc :)

May 2026Everyone is celebrating India’s growth story. The IMF report gives the part no one is saying out loud. Global growth is slowing to ~2.8% in 2025 and ~3% in 2026, the weakest long-term trajectory in decades India looks strong in that world. But zoom out. This is not dominance. This is relative positioning. India’s fiscal deficit is ~6.9% of GDP in 2025 and still ~6.7% by 2030 Global average deficit is ~5.1%. We are above it, not below So yes, we are growing. But we are still spending heavily to sustain that growth. Now the bigger gap no one talks about: innovation. India spends ~0.6–0.7% of GDP on R&D. China spends ~2.4–2.6%. US spends ~3.5%. Israel goes beyond ~5% That is not a small gap. That is a 4–6x gap vs global leaders. And it shows up everywhere: • Researchers per million people: India ~260 vs China ~1,849 vs US ~4,800+ • Share of global research output: India ~3% despite ~17% population • Patent filings have doubled, but still a fraction of US and China output Yes, patents are growing. India crossed ~1 lakh patents in FY24 and filings have doubled since 2014 But here’s the catch. Volume is increasing. Depth is not. Most innovation is incremental, not foundational. Most R&D is government-led (~55%), not industry-led That is the opposite of every innovation-led economy. Now compare positioning: Countries below India → struggling with debt, instability, survival → 50%+ low-income economies already in or near debt distress Countries above India → compounding through R&D, capital, deep tech → investing 3–5% of GDP consistently India → growing fast → but underinvesting in the very engine that sustains long-term growth Even structurally: • India produces ~195,000 research papers (top 3 globally) • But spends less than 1% of GDP on R&D That is not efficiency. That is undercapitalisation. Which leads to the real problem: India is becoming a strong executor But not yet a deep innovator You see it in manufacturing too -Assembly is scaling -Core tech is still imported So the story is not “India is winning” The real story is: India is ahead of weak systems But still behind strong systems And that gap is not cyclical, It is structural Because in the next decade, growth will not come from scale alone, It will come from: • IP ownership • Deep tech • Capital efficiency • Productivity per worker And on those metrics, we are still catching up So yes, India is doing well But the real question is- Are we building enough to deserve where we are going Or are we just benefiting from being better than those below us That distinction will decide the next 10 years

Apr 2026Built a tool as an experiment with Claude Design and it’s kind of wild how fast you can go from idea to something usable. A tool that will tell how well your resume actually matches a job before applying. Resume vs JD, a simple tool to check your fit before applying. You just drop a job link, and it: - Gives you a fit score - Shows where your resume aligns - Highlights gaps - Suggests what to improve - Recommends what to learn instantly - Helps you tailor your resume for that role #ClaudeAI #ClaudeDesign #ProductDesign #UXDesign #AIProduct
Apr 2026Solving for "India-Scale" isn’t just a tech challenge, it’s a context challenge. We often hear that hiring is a "solved" problem. But when you look at the sheer scale, context and diversity of the Indian talent market, the standard playbooks simply don't apply. That was the core philosophy behind #IndiaHiresDifferent . As part of the core team building WelHire , it was invaluable to see 150+ HR leaders deeply engage with our AI-led screening capability. For us, the focus isn't on replacing the human element, but on how we can preserve quality and context while moving at the speed the Indian market demands. The session with our CEO, Nitin Jain and Kshitiz Sachan helped set direction on where hiring is headed, while the panel brought in grounded, practical perspectives from across the ecosystem. The sharp questions and real-world pushback we received only reinforce our mission: building a solution that is fundamentally contextual to how India hires. Onwards. 🚀 Welspun Transformation Services Limited #ProductManagement #IndiaHiresDifferent #AI #HRTech #WelHire #Scale #BuildingInPublic
Apr 2026Meditation apps don't know you. They play the same pre-recorded script to a panicking student at 2 AM and a burned-out founder after a bad standup. Same voice. Same words. No idea what you actually need. So I built one that does — in 3 days. Meet Man AI — a voice-first, AI-guided meditation app. You tap the mic. You say what's on your mind. Claude Opus 4.6 writes a fresh meditation script for you, right then. ElevenLabs turns it into a warm human voice. A breathing orb pulses to 4s-in, 6s-out while you exhale the day. It works in English. It works in pure Hindi. It even does Hinglish — because most of us think in both. No forms. No mood sliders. No streaks or badges. Just talk, breathe, reflect. Swipe through the 9 slides to see how it works — screens, tech, and the "why" behind it. Your first 3 sessions are free. Link in the first comment. breathe · reflect · restore #AI #ClaudeAI #Mindfulness #MentalHealth #IndieHackers #NextJS #Meditation
