Apr 2026Lately, I've been thinking about the importance of siblings. My sisters were my first teachers in negotiation, compromise, and repair-skills sharpened early (yes, even navigating being blackmailed at 7) and still very much in use today. I'm the fraternal-or "different"-triplet; my sisters are identical. Being left out when we were little was hard, but it pushed me to build relationships outside of them early on. And sometimes that dynamic still shows up. I'll get a call while I'm already in bed, and they are on the way to dinner: "Hey Chad, do you want to come?" (Chad is my nickname-only they use it.) And I'll think...could I have gotten the heads up before you got in the car? 😂 Those experiences made me who I am. I once wanted to look like them and be doctors like them. Over time, I realized they didn't shape me to be like them-they helped me be me. Research shows sibling relationships are often the longest-lasting ones we have. Understanding those dynamics can be incredibly helpful when families think about legacy and shared wealth. #FamilyOffice #Triplets
