To say that the last two years were intense is an understatement. But I am extremely happy and proud to have graduated from the Questrom School of Business, Boston University , with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Digital Technology. One reason I wanted to go back to Business School was to strengthen my quantitative and data skills. So I thought I would share some data to describe the past two years: ❗ 2 Master's Degrees - When looking for master's programs, Questrom's dual degree immediately caught my attention. Combining my business knowledge and experience in IT implementation, while also considering today's developments, seemed like a no-brainer. Having no technical background made the MSDT program challenging, but also incredibly rewarding! ❗ 3.92 GPA - Yes, people keep telling me that grades don't matter and students should not stress about them. Unfortunately, my brain is wired very much the other way around, and being back in a classroom environment only amplified my striving for excellence. ❗ 500 Hours Spent Commuting - Some people might not know this, but I went to school and lived in two different states. That meant spending 1.5 hours one way commuting to classes (especially fun when it was an 8am class). While it took extra dedication to keep going and attend additional events, I eventually started to enjoy the quiet time to myself - and, very European of me, I obviously took the train, i.e. no traffic. ❗ 2 Club Leadership Positions - It has been an honor to serve as the president of Questrom Tastings and the VP of Events for the Graduate Marketing Club. Being in these positions meant putting in extra hours and effort, but it also allowed me to pursue my passions for food and marketing and made the program so much more fun! ❗ 3 Jobs On and Off Campus - By now, you can probably tell that I don't shy away from long days and hard work, which is why I decided to work alongside my studies. Working in the Undergraduate Development Center and being a Teaching Assistant for the MBA Integrated Project connected me with fellow students, while my part-time job at Blount Fine Foods enabled me to gain valuable professional experience. Overall, I definitely didn't choose the easiest path, but it was the most authentic and rewarding one for me. The amount of personal and professional growth I have experienced has been enormous, and I wouldn't want to miss a single piece that added to the puzzle. Cheers to the past two years and everything coming next!
