May 2026Last week #MODEX2026 came to a close, marking the halfway point of my time in the Rotational Development Program at Boston Dynamics ! Planning and executing our demo for Modex, alongside Sofie Pasztor , was the perfect representation of the last 9 months. This program has given me the opportunity to grow my technical and organizational skills while being trusted to deliver the quality work our customers expect. A special shoutout to our collaborators at Jacobi Robotics and Robotize for making Modex a success! And a huge thanks to the rest of the Boston Dynamics team for your help and mentorship throughout this project and my first three rotations! I can't wait for what the next 9 months hold!
Apr 20266.5 years at Boston Dynamics. An incredible chapter building teams and systems to support one of the most advanced robotics portfolios in the world. The people I worked alongside were exceptional. I carry deep respect for every teammate, leader, and peer who pushed me, challenged me, and made the work worth doing. That chapter shaped everything. Now I've jumped into something new. And it's been a hell of a start. Joining a new team of industry leaders to raise the bar. I joined Apptronik as SVP of Services & Support to build what comes after the breakthrough, turning incredible robotics into something that scales and delivers in the real world. As our CEO Jeff Cardenas said, this is the "space race" of our time. It doesn't end in the lab. It's won through consistent execution through strong systems, disciplined operations, and teams that show up for customers. Every. Single. Day. One month in, I've seen enough: the opportunity is real. We're building, partnering, and solving hard problems. And we're developing the teams to do it at scale. The past made me. The future is wide open. LFG. 🦾🦾 #Robotics #Humanoids #Apptronik #NewChapter
Apr 2026My aim for every story we tell at Boston Dynamics is that we always start with emotional relevance. What is at the heart, and how can we bare that to make an audience care. I recently caught this quote by Tony Baxter of Walt Disney Imagineering from “The Imagineering Story” and it completely resonated. "The most important thing I think that we can invest in a project is the emotional relevance to the audience. The concept, the story, the relevance to people—all of this needs to come first, and then you can ladle on these layer-upon-layers of detail on the right thing.” The next part of the quote is where most organizations get it wrong. When stories are built by committee the core message gets lost - details get added and we lose that relevance. “It's really easy to start putting the detail in when you haven't focused, so you don't know where detail belongs and where it should be eliminated. And so you come up with something that is scattered all over the place. If it's not emotionally rich and filled with heart and feeling, it's not going to work." 🚀 With “The Beginning of Your Tomorrow,” our recent Atlas launch/brand film, we started at the core of what drives us. This is a story that led so many of us to be here, and its emotional resonance led to some of the most captive viewership we’ve had on a piece like this. While most obvious in that film, emotional relevance is our North Star for every customer testimonial, product announcement, and article we publish. 🎥 Check out the film and the rest of our amazing content on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eUXhvra5
Apr 2026"The first time Ken Sutterfield used Boston Dynamics mobile robot, Spot, in the field, he estimates the robot saved Caltrans upwards of $60,000 in less than ten minutes of work."
