Congratulations to Emily Knox who leads the International Family Tracing team at the British Red Cross. Emily’s team is part of a global network that tries to find answers when people are missing during conflict or are forcibly abducted. At our event yesterday we heard the experience of families who face the agony of still searching for their loved ones. The support from the British Red Cross and many other organisations is critical in finding answers and supporting families in this difficult journey. Thank you to the volunteers and staff of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement who are there to help and many of whom have experienced the their own loss whilst helping others.
Apr 2026It was a real pleasure to speak with Chris Bradley at the PSC on the support that we provide in the British Red Cross British Red Cross - Health and Care with our High Intensity Use of Services teams. We work alongside people who attend A&E on an above average basis to explore the underlying reasons for their attendance, connecting them with appropriate support in their local community, improving health literacy and self management of physical and mental health needs and ensuring people feel empowered and equipped to manage when support comes to a natural end. We work on What Matters to people, enabling people to become part of their treatment and support plans. As an ambassador for the Personalised Care Institute it is important to ensure that people receive personalised care in every setting #Highintensityuse #empathy #kindness #empowerement #healthliteracy #Whatmatterstome Personalised Care Institute #codesign
