May 2026Two years ago, my BrowserStack onboarding hamper came with Blitzscaling by Chris Yeh & Reid Hoffman. The book argues that fast-scaling companies deliberately ignore things that would matter enormously in a slower business - because ruthless prioritization IS the strategy. I remember finding that counterintuitive. Then I joined BrowserStack and slowly realized I was watching it play out in real time. That clarity of focus is what makes the pace here feel purposeful rather than just fast. Two years of diving deep into technical scoping, connecting customer pain points to product capabilities, obsessing over edge cases, and staying close to the feedback-and-iteration loop. The kind of work where you blink, and somehow 24 months have passed. A few weeks ago, our yearly onsite happened - The yearly reminder that the best 1:1s happen in a lunch queue, not a calendar invite. What strikes me every time is how quickly the formality dissolves. Within hours, it's less "quarterly objectives" and more "okay but who ordered this". The conversations are real, the energy is palpable, and you leave with a strange mix of exhaustion and clarity. Turns out, the people you build with every day are even better in person. Slightly louder, but better. That clarity carried right into the close of the fiscal - finishing the quarter over quota and being recognized for it felt like the right punctuation to a hectic, fulfilling year. Two years of being trusted to carry a brand that engineers worldwide already believe in. Still learning what that responsibility actually means.
