May 2026Spending time with our incredible customers is one of the joys of my work at Carrot . At today’s WTW Global Business Summit, I had the privilege of sitting on a panel with Amy Claffey Widell and Flavia Miranda, GBA , two leaders who have done the deep, intentional work of building global family-building strategies for their organizations. The candor and depth they brought to the room was inspiring. Flavia was clear when she shared that providing a global benefit requires a comprehensive global structure with localized expertise. Building a program that holds up across jurisdictions means understanding what's permissible country by country, how to structure a benefit that protects both the employee and the company, and what governance looks like when cultural norms, regulatory frameworks, and employee needs don't align neatly. Getting it right requires real expertise, while getting it wrong can deliver strict consequences. Flavia reinforced that the need for navigation and governance is foundational, not just a nice-to-have. Amy shared her story of success beyond expectations, noting that when you build the infrastructure to support people well, the benefits reach far beyond those you originally intended. For Amy’s teams, Menopause and Low Testosterone journeys saw high engagement early on, far beyond what they expected for journeys outside of fertility and family-building. This was a clear reminder that the populations who need the support provided by fertility, family-building, and lifelong hormonal health benefits are broader and more diverse than most employers expect. This complexity and depth is what Carrot is built for. With operations spanning 195+ countries and localized care navigation built around the legal, cultural, and logistical realities of each market, we give employers the foundation they need to build programs that are both equitable and compliant. Thank you to Amy and Flavia for the generosity and honesty you brought to this conversation, to Rachael McCann Jones, MBA for expertly moderating our panel and WTW for hosting us. I look forward to our next opportunity to connect!
