Apr 2026The one thing early stage startups never get is the visibility and credibility that matches their potential - not after they've scaled, but right now, when it matters most. That's the specific gap that Cashfree Payments and The Economic Times have come together to address for startups through the One of a Kind Startup Awards. Ask yourself: are you a Bootstrapped Champion? A Category Creator? An AI Innovator? A founder with GTM instincts the industry is still trying to decode? A builder who's turned customer experience into a genuine moat? If any of that made you think "that's us" - you should be applying. If you are Internet-first, Incorporated after April 2020, Revenue under ₹10Cr - this is for you. Apply here → https://lnkd.in/gxvAQwKi
Apr 2026At Cashfree Payments , we primarily solved for reducing friction at checkout; improving conversions and payment success rates. So it was interesting to also work on the opposite problem: adding friction to reduce COD return-related risks. One insight that shaped our thinking from merchant conversations was that existing interventions in the market brought down RTOs but also led to drop in sales. This was one thing we always had in mind while building our RTO suite, ensuring Net Sales (after RTOs and cancellations) for brands go up along with reduced RTOs. Kudos to the team that worked on shaping this Darpan Deka Yogesh Sharma Anurag Thakur Rahul V Mathew
Apr 2026In product management, everyone obsesses over what to build. The best founders I've observed obsess equally over how it reaches people. The most interesting GTM stories are product decisions. A checkout flow designed so well that the merchant becomes the distribution. An integration so seamless that one customer's tech stack becomes the referral channel for the next. Distribution built into the product. Not bolted on after launch. Not handed off to another team. Baked into the architecture so deeply that using the product is the same thing as spreading it. That's not growth hacking. That's product thinking applied to go-to-market. And the startups doing it well barely need a marketing page. The product is the pitch. That's a one-of-a-kind business. Cashfree Payments just launched the One of a Kind Startup Awards with The Economic Times to find exactly these startups, early. Under 5 years old. Before the world catches on. Five categories: AI Innovator. GTM Excellence. Customer Excellence. Bootstrapped Champion. Category Creator. Proud to be part of a company that recognises originality before it's obvious. Apply now. Apr 2026In talent acquisition, the first five hires tell you everything about a company's growth strategy. Most startups hire salespeople first. More pipeline. More outbound. More bodies on calls. The ones that surprise me hire differently. Their first hire is a community manager. Or a partnerships lead. Or a content person who builds distribution the sales team will benefit from six months later. That sequencing is a GTM decision disguised as a hiring decision. And the startups that get it right grow faster with fewer people, because every hire compounds instead of just adding. That's a one-of-a-kind business. Cashfree Payments just launched the One of a Kind Startup Awards with The Economic Times to find exactly these startups, early. Under 5 years old. Before the world catches on. Five categories: - AI Innovator. GTM Excellence. Customer Excellence. Bootstrapped Champion. Category Creator. Proud to be part of a company that recognises originality before it's obvious. Apr 2026In DevOps, you don't see the customer. You see what the customer experiences without knowing it. Latency. Uptime. That half-second delay that silently kills a conversion. So when I hear about startups with insane retention, I don't first look at the product features or the onboarding flow. I look at what's underneath. How reliable is it? How fast does it load? Does it break at scale or hold steady? The startups that quietly obsess over these invisible layers are the ones customers never have a reason to leave. Nobody writes a review saying "the uptime was incredible." But they do write one when it isn't. I've noticed the best early-stage teams treat infrastructure like a product decision, not an afterthought. They don't wait to scale before they build for scale. And their customers feel it without ever being able to name it. They just know the thing works. Every time. That trust compounds. And it's almost impossible to reverse-engineer. That's a one-of-a-kind business. Cashfree Payments just launched the One of a Kind Startup Awards with The Economic Times to surface exactly these kinds of startups, early. The ones where excellence is baked into layers most people never see. Five categories: AI Innovator. GTM Excellence. Customer Excellence. Bootstrapped Champion. Category Creator. I'm proud to be part of a company that believes in recognising originality before it's obvious. Apply now. Or tag a founder in the comments who deserves to be here. https://lnkd.in/g8Uszixm
