"Soft ROI is no longer enough." That line from a session last week summed up the entire The Health Management Academy Spring 2026 CFO Circle in Ft. Lauderdale pretty nicely. Andrea Hoffman and I spent a few days with health system CFOs and rev cycle leaders, and it was clear that they're looking to: - Move faster on AI, even when it's faster than what feels comfortable - Quantify financial return from AI - not just point to "happier staff" or "smoother workflows" - Get serious about affordability: with site-neutral cuts and H.R.1 pressure, it's shaping up to be the central policy theme of 2026 Amir Dan Rubin framed it best in his fireside chat: stop asking how many more people you need, and start asking what software or AI can do instead. Small gains, compounded yearly, will build a dramatically stronger organization. The real risk is in waiting, not experimenting. It was striking how much these conversations centered on patient affordability and experience - the problem we're working on every day at Cedar . Patients are carrying more of the bill than ever, so really the patient financial experience isn't just a back office function anymore - it's becoming a loyalty test for systems. #RevenueCycle #HealthcareFinance #PatientExperience
May 2026We’re building the future of patient financial engagement at Cedar, and AI is at the center of it. Great opportunity for a principal engineer who wants to help shape agentic AI in healthcare
May 2026We are transforming Cedar into an AI native company. I sometimes hear that this is a similar process to what we did in the past by applying machine learning and RPA. Here is the fundamental difference: ML and RPA were tools to execute faster/cheaper the ideas generated by humans. AI is giving us humans the creativity and ideas. Humans need to put them in the right processes and structures to create impactful solutions. These solutions will do the work for us. I am amazed to see the speed of how our teams can spin-up new solutions on top of our platform that create meaningful results.
Apr 2026Yesterday at HumanX , I had the chance to introduce Cedar Intelligence and share why this moment matters for healthcare. Healthcare is one of the most personal experiences in our lives. The billing experience has not kept pace. Patients are now one of the biggest drivers of provider financial performance, yet too many billing journeys still rely on static assumptions instead of responding to the individual in front of them. That creates frustration for patients and inefficiency for providers. Cedar Intelligence is our AI-powered personalization engine built to help change that, by helping providers deliver more adaptive financial experiences across the billing journey. This is about more than smarter messaging. It is about helping each patient get to the right next step, whether that means a simple payment flow, a clearer explanation, or support options that better fit their situation. Proud of our team for bringing this to life. Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/eSS7GBiJ
