Deep appreciation for Washington State Academy of Sciences bringing together farmers, AI innovators, investors, Academic scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs all committed to Listen, Learn, and Co-create to tackle grand challenges facing the industry in a rapidly changing world, from labor to environmental- where AI could disrupt. Human centered design and test beds such as the LTARs of the Soil Health Initiative emerged as a unique tool. Thanks to all who dedicated their time to this deep dive to help ag become more profitable for all size producers and keep the lights on for main street USA and for eaters everywhere!

Finally seeing the long term soil health experiment in apples- A dream come true. Appreciate the visionaries in Washington state USDA WSU Commissions who realized this decadal science to understand soil organic matter formation soil health to apple health and societal benefits! #gocougs Wenatchee WSU Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center is inspirational with team science for impact, physiologists breeders entomologists genetics soil scientists economists solving problems from sunburn on apples to new pests to insufficiently short pear trees (love this last - hear hear for efficiency of dwarf stock!!)

Take this position and be a high-impact scientist for farmers' fields all over the world!

Standing next to the runway last night blew me away! The graduating cougars, seniors in the Apparel Merchandising Design and Textiles Department of CAHNRS, were innovative, imaginative and forward looking - the highlight of the year for this top PNW comprehensive apparel design and merchandising program. As a scientist I am so moved by the vulnerability and inspiration of creative youth!

#Cougs addressing big wicked sustainability challenges from using AI to target weed management, to improving bee nutrition, and vegetable seed precision planting. What an amazing day- the commitment, the partnerships, the innovation.. so inspiring! Thank you Tim Waters and team!!
