May 2026There's a hidden crisis in our global payments system, but it's not in the technology, it's the capacity of people running it. I'm talking about burnout. We ask compliance professionals to be perfect, but saddle them with imperfect tools. For those on the front lines, the work becomes a monotonous cycle of clearing thousands of level 1 false alerts against a ticking clock. This isn't just a morale problem; it's a critical business risk. As leaders, we must ask: are we creating sustainable careers or just fueling burnout? Hiring more people to handle the alert volume isn't the answer. We need to invest in technology that transforms the work itself. When an intelligent platform can automatically clear the noise of low-level payment alerts, the job changes overnight. Analysts are freed to become true investigators, using a unified view of risk to make faster, more confident decisions on the complex cases that actually matter. By automating the mundane, we elevate the human, transforming the role from 'alert clearer' to 'risk strategist'. The most effective compliance programs will always be the ones that are also the best places to work. At ComplyAdvantage , we believe the answer starts with a better approach to real-time screening, and we're thrilled to announce a major step forward in this area later this month…
May 2026🌏 Scaling compliance across 12 Asia-Pacific markets is no small task – just ask HitPay. As a fast-growing payment service provider supporting over 20,000 merchants, HitPay needed a screening solution that could keep pace with its expansion into cross-border payments and #stablecoins . With ComplyAdvantage, they fine-tuned their configuration and reduced match rates from over 10% to 2-4% – absorbing growing transaction volumes without scaling headcount. Hear how Paula Vitan, Compliance Manager at HitPay, built a future-proof compliance foundation. 👉 https://okt.to/Gs3FYm
Apr 2026This recent McKinsey piece on "Building the foundations for agentic AI at scale" reinforces something we’re seeing every day with customers. Nearly two-thirds of companies are experimenting with AI agents, but fewer than 10% have actually scaled them to deliver meaningful value. The gap isn’t about model capability or even use cases. It comes down to the foundation. Agentic AI doesn’t scale on prompts alone. It scales on data, context, and the systems that support real decisions. The article makes this clear. A few points really stood out: - Data quality and accessibility are still the biggest constraints to scaling AI - Fragmented systems break context and lead to inconsistent decisions - Governance, lineage, and auditability become essential as autonomy increases This is exactly what we’re seeing in financial crime compliance. You can’t layer AI on top of disconnected systems and expect reliable results. In this domain, decisions need to be explainable, auditable, and correct in real time. At ComplyAdvantage , we’ve taken a different approach: - Build a unified, AI-native platform with real-time intelligence - Embed agentic workflows directly into decision-making, not on top of it Because ultimately, regulators don’t audit workflows. They audit decisions. Agentic AI is powerful, but without the right foundation, it doesn’t scale or build trust. The companies that get this right won’t just automate tasks. They’ll fundamentally change how decisions are made.
Apr 2026The best time to reject a duplicate request is before you've done any of the expensive work. New on the ComplyAdvantage tech blog: Panagiotis (Panos) Diamantopoulos on how we use #Redis to fail fast on duplicate data in distributed systems. We had a heavy, multi-table database operation that blocked everything else. As concurrent requests increased, waiting for the database to tell you "that already exists" became painfully slow. So we moved the duplicate check to Redis - reject in milliseconds, only hit the database when you know you're clear. It adds complexity: saga pattern, reservation pattern, fencing tokens to prevent stale writes. But duplicates rejected in milliseconds rather than seconds. Sometimes the trade-off is worth it. https://lnkd.in/eRzvE8A5 #Engineering #DistributedSystems
