Before I joined Core4ce , I mispronounced the name at lunch with CEO Mike Morehouse . It came out as something like "Core-Ace" — muttered, hurried, and very wrong. Mike didn't flinch. We had a great conversation that eventually led to me joining his Team. Fast forward to today: I've introduced Core4ce to more teammates, clients, and prospects than I can count. And in nearly every case where someone read the name before hearing it spoken aloud? They got it wrong. That's okay. Apparently, as the video ( https://lnkd.in/gGvNgX-v ) demonstrates, we're all in good company. But here's what I love about it — there's actually a solid reason behind the name that few pronounce correctly. Core4ce was built on a foundational belief: mission success in the community we operate in requires the seamless integration of four core disciplines — Engineering, Analytics, Cyber, and Operations. The "Four Cores." Pronounced "Core-Force", it's not just a name. It's the architecture of everything we do. On that foundation, Mike Morehouse and co-founder Todd Harbour built a Team delivering Cyber Operations, Data Analysis, Engineering & Digital Modernization, and Mission Services — from zero trust evaluations and network security assessments to AI/ML-enabled data exploitation, cloud modernization, and ISR mission support for the national security customers who need it most. Core4ce isn't just a name to say correctly. It's a standard to live up to. Think you know how to say it now? Drop your best attempt in the comments — or just watch the video and have some laughs.
May 2026The Government Contracting (GovCon) industry in San Antonio thrives, partly due to valuable networking events like Mission Connect: The GovCon Happy Hour, hosted by Truist Financial-SA and Badger this past Wednesday evening at the Tenfold Rooftop Bar. I was impressed by the diversity of businesses represented and the level of expertise in the room. Thanks to Greg Wheeless for offering his perspective of the current GovCon ecosystem and how trusted relationships, now more than ever, are valued as a capital investment for future growth and stability. One common issue that repeatedly came to light during my conversations throughout the evening is the “stovepipe” nature of GovCon resources and services in San Antonio. I sincerely hope that future networking events like this will help solve that problem by cultivating meaningful dialog pursuant to closer relationships and shared access to resources. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Shannon Badger , Brian Clendening , Matt Stedman and Stephanie Dick for their efforts in organizing this event and the warm welcome received. A special thank you to Hope Skibitsky, RBLP-T, MRT and Geronimo Moreno, MS-ITM for the invite! #Truist Bank #Badger #San Antonio #Core4ce
