Cundall will be well represented at Clerkenwell Design Week this year. I will be there from Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st and look forward to catching up with friends and colleagues on all things #interiordesign and #Acoustics . We are also taking part in a panel discussion with our friends at Synergy Creativ / ekko Acoustics where I will be Chairing the discussions, joined by my colleagues Victor Cebrian Lindström and Roxana Rakhshani MSLL , in addition to Georgina Pater-Bell from JLL and James Geekie from Area on #workspace #design . I am happy to share that I am now a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE . I just wanted to thank everybody at Cundall and PM Group who have helped me achieve this important milestone in my career. Looking forward to what the next chapter brings.

3 years later… and I can finally say I’m officially a CPA. Safe to say I won’t miss the late-night study sessions, aggressively tabbing textbooks a few weeks before exams, or the mini heart attacks waiting for results day 😅 It wasn’t always fun, but definitely worth it. Big thank you to my mentor and manager Isabel Campos-Sanchez for the constant support and encouragement, and to the team at Cundall for keeping me sane during it all. On to the next chapter.

Think -> Test -> Tweak -> Transform What if you could test your AI solution in sustainability without building the full system first? This is exactly what a #MVP , Minimum Viable Product, allows you to do. An MVP is not about building a final product. It is about building just enough to test whether your idea has value. And in the #Sustainability sector, where there is growing interest in #AI , #MachineLearning , and #AgenticAI , this way of thinking is essential. Because there is a barrier that is rarely spoken about. Many sustainability professionals are not trained as software developers. They understand #Decarbonisation , buildings, energy systems, and policy. Yet when it comes to AI, the starting point can feel unclear. The MVP approach removes that barrier. If you are thinking about an AI agent supporting early stage #DesignDecisions , or a system integrating energy, cost, and health data, you do not need to build the full system first. You can start small. You might structure a simple dataset in a CSV file and test basic logic. You might simulate decisions using rules before training a model. You might use no code tools to replicate workflows. You might test how an “agent” behaves manually before automating it. What you are really doing is testing assumptions. Does this solve a real problem? Does it reflect how projects are delivered in reality? Does it produce insights that are actually usable? In the context of #AgenticAI , this becomes even more important. Before building autonomous systems, you need to understand how decisions are made, where uncertainty sits, and what constraints exist in practice. You start small. You learn quickly. You adjust based on evidence, not assumptions. You do not need to be a software engineer or a data scientist to start building AI driven ideas in sustainability. You need a clear question, a structured way to test it, and the willingness to begin. The value of an MVP is not in what it produces.
