Not every milestone comes with a ribbon cutting, but some of the most important operational achievements happen behind the scenes. Yesterday, we reached a significant milestone at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) with the completion of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks and turnover of 17 new hardstand positions to our airline partners across the newly constructed SW Hardstands and Terminal F Hardstands locations. These additional hardstand positions will play a critical role as we prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup and the peak summer travel season, helping ensure operational flexibility and efficiency during some of our busiest periods ahead. The day began with a sunrise FOD walk at the 6 Terminal F hardstand locations and concluded at the 11 SW Hardstand positions — a fitting reminder that operational excellence takes coordination, commitment, and teamwork from start to finish. With a Special thanks to our CEO Chris McLaughlin and his leadership and my executive colleagues delivering this milestone ahead of schedule was made possible through the leadership and collaboration of Thomas Lyon, PE, CCM , Tammy Huddleston , Bill Grozdanich , Mitch Gray , Dillon Pettyjohn, Fabian Cornelious , Omar Elbagalati,PhD,P.E. , Lisa Gahm, M.S., A.A.E., ACE, ASE , Jarin Horton, MBA, A.A.E., ACE , our Operations team, TBU team, and the outstanding project execution from our partners at AECOM , CARCON Industries & Construction , H. May 2026Last week, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) proudly welcomed attendees of the 2026 DBIA Southwest Region 's Regional Conference for an exclusive airfield tour, where we (myself, Tammy Huddleston , Brett Koziczkowski ) highlighted several of DFW's Design Build Contracts: the East ARFF Station, our cutting-edge Materials Testing Laboratory Facility, and the eagerly anticipated 6th Terminal, Terminal F. DFW continues to be at the forefront of innovation, pioneering alternative delivery methods that champion true partnership with the contracting community. Our commitment to excellence in Construction Project Management and collaboration sets the standard for the industry, demonstrating how Design Build can achieve remarkable results when approached with vision and teamwork. Day 2 of the Conference provided us an opportunity to provide a deeper dive into Terminal F. I joined forces with Brenda Premenko of Turner Construction Company and Julie Gavin, AIA of PGAL from our Design-Builder, Innovation Next+ to deliver an in-depth presentation on Terminal F. It was inspiring to share our journey and highlight the creative design, collaborative spirit, and impressive progress fueling DFW’s continued growth and expansion. As we add capacity and reach new heights, DFW remains a leader in advancing airport infrastructure and building strong connections within our community. The excitement around our projects is a testament to what’s possible when industry leaders and partners unite for success! #DFW #DesignBuild #PMCM #Construction #Airports

Apr 2026Five years ago, the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) Air Service Development team traveled to Mexico City to promote oneworld Alliance connectivity at DFW, anchored by American Airlines ’ strong Mexico network linking passengers to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We returned last week with the same message but with a dramatically expanded value proposition. DFW has grown from five oneworld carriers in 2021 to eleven today, adding Finnair , Iberia , Qantas , Fiji Airways , Cathay Pacific , and our newest partner, Royal Jordanian . Together with our oneworld partners, Visit Fort Worth led by Estela Martinez-Stuart, CTA , and Visit Dallas ’ Liliana Rivera , we showcased not only seamless connectivity driven by American’s 28 destinations in Mexico, but also the distinct energy of the Metroplex: Fort Worth, the “Unexpected City,” and Dallas’ signature can-do swagger. This year, we elevated the story even further. Nina Vaca shared updates on the DFW Metroplex’s role in the FIFA World Cup, and Dallas Stars executive and former NHL standout Alvaro Silva Montoya outlined a bold vision to make the Stars Mexico’s NHL team. It’s also a milestone moment for American Airlines, celebrating its 100th anniversary on April 15, marking a century since its first airmail flight, and 84 years of service to Mexico as the first foreign carrier in the market. Congratulations to AA on a century of global leadership, and to Vicky Uzal for her continued impact in Mexico. Special thanks to Lillián Toro Ríos y Valles , Samuel Durazo García , and the Monnarka team for delivering a standout event and positioning DFW as the airport of choice.
