Merger arbitrage opportunities today increasingly require flexible capital, patience and a willingness to navigate complexity. I enjoyed joining Suzanne Gibbons and Michael Chiaramonte on the latest episode of DK Extra Credit to discuss the evolving “barbell” structure of the market and why we believe combining merger arbitrage with a broader multi-strategy portfolio can provide meaningful diversification and greater flexibility during periods of spread dislocation. Listen to the episode and read our latest white paper in the original post.
Aug 2026Last week, I had the pleasure of joining a high caliber group of female professionals at the @With Intelligence Women’s Private Credit Summit for a panel discussion on “Securing Capital: What Makes Sense in the Current Environment?” It was fun sharing the stage with such a thoughtful group of industry leaders to discuss the challenges and questions that are shaping today’s fundraising environment. Thank you to moderator @Kelli Moll and fellow panelists @Sweta Chanda, @Eleanor Franchitti and @Betsy Sylvester for a thoughtful conversation. #PrivateCredit #WomenInFinance @DavidsonKempner
Jun 2026A huge thank you to EDHEC Talents for having me for an unforgettable day of discovering the campus but most importantly, getting to meet an incredible group of students, young men and women with a bright future, maybe in finance!
Apr 2026We believe that years of high valuations coupled with a higher rate environment have left many companies across private markets with too much debt. Last week, I joined Tom Keene and the team on Bloomberg Radio to discuss the growing strains beneath the surface of private equity and credit markets. Drawing on insights from our latest white paper, I discussed the impact of higher rates on leveraged credit and in our view, the emerging opportunity set in private credit dislocations. We also talked about how the markets have been in a prolonged period of “soft defaults”, where highly leveraged companies have been managing stress in their capital structures and debt obligations by deferring interest, extending maturities, and buying time instead of formally defaulting.
