Last week we were at the IQPC Connected Worker Exchange in Chicago! I call out this conference specifically because it was one of those rooms that reminds you why you started building in the first place, with brilliant keynotes from multiple CIO's. 50 of the sharpest manufacturing and digital transformation leaders in the country — not there to network for the sake of it, but to genuinely solve hard problems. The kind of conversations that make you think differently on the flight home. During our keynote, I spoke on something we care deeply about: Smart Surveillance, Smarter Operations — The Present and Future of Visual Intelligence in Industry. With real stories of robust deployments and real business cases. When we started Detect Technologies , it came from a simple but frustrating observation — industrial facilities had cameras and sensors everywhere and limited insights. Terabytes of footage. Hundreds of feeds. And yet the worker on the floor was still making decisions with semi-complete information, while the data that could help them, save lives and improve efficiency sat unwatched on a server. That gap has always bothered us. And it still does. Because here's what we believe, and what we built Detect around: AI is not here to replace the industrial worker. It's here to make them unstoppable. Visual intelligence, when deployed right, doesn't eliminate human judgment - it sharpens it. It puts the right information in front of the right person at the right moment. It turns a camera from a compliance tool into a co-pilot. The conversations reaffirmed something powerful — the connected worker isn't a vision of the future anymore. It's being built and deployed today, by organizations who refuse to settle for "good enough." A huge gratitude to the IQPC team for creating a space where ideas, technology, and industry leaders could collide so meaningfully. Excited for what comes next.
