Last week, I had the pleasure of addressing the very timely topic of how geopolitical uncertainty is affecting the life science and biosolutions industry. Countries are increasingly focused on strategic autonomy, energy security and resilience. While causing challenges here and now, the geopolitical situation also strengthens the case for biosolutions in the long term: Home-grown solutions like bioethanol and biogas can help replace fossil-based solutions and make countries less dependent on imported oil and gas. Beyond fuels, biosolutions support more resilient and sustainable growth across food, agriculture, and materials – while creating local jobs. And for Europe and Denmark, there is a real opportunity to become a global hub for biosolutions – if we push for better regulation, funding, and scaling. Thanks to Astrid Krag , Thomas Senderovitz , Åsa Uppströmer for great perspectives on the topic and to #Danskbiotek and Women in Life Science Denmark ( #WiLD ) for hosting a great event. The time for biosolutions is now! #Novonesis #biosolutions
May 2026The biosolutions era is here. It doesn’t need microchips, oil, shale gas, nor rare minerals. All it needs is biomass, clean electricity, innovation and talent. We have it all. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of giving the opening keynote alongside Chris McDonald, MP, Minister for Industry at the launch of Biosolutions UK in London. With the launch of Biosolutions UK under the BioIndustry Association (BIA) , we are strengthening collaboration, building momentum, and speaking with a unified voice. Across industries biosolutions are already transforming how we produce food and energy, reduce waste and fossil-based chemicals, and use resources more efficiently. Yet we risk falling behind in Europe. Other regions are moving faster - creating the right conditions for bringing innovation to scale through streamlined regulation, faster approvals, and stronger investment support. If we want to unlock the full potential of biosolutions also in Europe, we need to act: - Regulation must keep pace with innovation - Approval processes must become faster and more predictable - Investment in R&D and scale-up must be strengthened The prize is significant: New jobs, economic growth, resilience, and enhanced energy security, as well as progress toward climate goals. Great to move forward together with Biosolutions UK and thanks to Jane Wall and team for hosting a powerful event. https://lnkd.in/eiinWMh8
Apr 2026A changing of the guard in digital: Meta is set to surpass Google in ad revenue for the very first time - fueled by AI, automation, and full-funnel platform integration (thank you, Advantage+). The bigger takeaway isn’t who’s # 1, it's how growth is happening. We’re shifting from intent capture to intent creation. In pharma, that’s a clear mandate: invest in earlier patient engagement, credible creators, and data-driven personalization… Because the brands shaping decisions upstream will ultimately own outcomes downstream. https://lnkd.in/gMREX_Vm
Apr 2026After a few years away, I'm heading back to Adobe Summit — this time with our incredible Publicis Health team. A lot has changed since I last attended. AI is no longer a future-state conversation; it's in the room, in the workflow, and increasingly in the exam room. What I'm most focused on this year: how we move from AI enthusiasm to AI that actually sticks. In healthcare, that means experiences that earn trust, support access, and drive adherence at a pace that doesn't outrun compliance. More on that coming soon. In the meantime, who else is going? Let's find time to connect. #AdobeSummit #PublicisHealth #HealthcareAI #DataStrategy #HealthMarketing
Apr 2026One of the privileges of my job is working alongside people like Chris . He's been building the intersection of data and healthcare marketing for a long time, and that kind of career brings a different kind of perspective on where AI actually fits in our work, not as a trend, but as the thing that finally makes the connected journey possible. Really proud of this piece. Worth a read!
Apr 2026A decade ago (wow), I joined a creative agency as a computer engineer. I honestly didn't feel like I belonged. The distance between data and creativity felt enormous. Turns out not belonging was a great place to start. That intersection between data and creativity is exactly where modern healthcare marketing lives. I wrote about what that looks like now, and where I think it's headed next (and a bit about my own journey) https://lnkd.in/eCbNqsav #HealthcareMarketing #AI #DataScience #DigitasHealth #CIOReview
