Just recently hit 4 Years at DISCO . In those 4 years ive become a go to resource for Construction, Intellectual property, In house counsel, and Antitrust litigation teams. People call me to get all things eDiscovery done. And the mustache still grows! Thank you to Meesha Gore and Bryant Consultants an Aperture Company for providing free headshots to the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law .
May 2026Litigators don't just need to work faster—they need to win. The problem? Facts and law often live in separate silos, forcing legal teams to piece the puzzle together manually. Generic AI might help with speed, but it wasn't built for the complexities of a courtroom strategy. At DISCO, we are focused on seamlessly integrating your facts with the law. It’s not just about efficiency; it’s about giving litigators the context and clarity they need to build a winning case. May 2026DISCO is the longest relationship I've ever had...coming up on 8 years and this is why... We'll always chart our own path. We'll never follow. And we do it together with some of the best minds in tech, product and legal. It's a great time to be in legal tech -- and it's about to get better.
May 2026Last month, we gathered 14 of DISCO 's top performers in the Grand Cayman Islands for our annual Circle of Excellence trip. The most rewarding part of this trip by far was getting to just be together and acknowledge the incredible work this team has put in. It’s truly a privilege to work alongside such a fabulous team, and while we still have a lot of road ahead in 2026, I couldn't be more excited for what’s to come. If you are a high-performer and are searching for a team that celebrates and invests in its people, I encourage you to check out our careers page: https://lnkd.in/ekVz4WZD #DISCO #Careers #LegalTech
May 2026We’re taking the DISCO Supper Club on the road again! Our Manchester event proved that some of the best insights happen over a great meal. I’m looking forward to connecting with Birmingham’s law firm leaders on 10 June to discuss the challenges and wins we’re seeing with GenAI. Hope to see you there! May 2026Another great quarterly result for DISCO! Legal tech is changing fast, but DISCO is evolving even faster. A waiting list for Cecilia Advanced Research and AI interest generated a far better than expected uptake on the new DISCO Platform. More to come as we build AI for Litigators.
May 2026If you're working within the legacy world of ediscovery, Early Case Assessment (ECA) means managing two separate databases: one for the "Waiting Room" and one for your actual review. To get data into either one, you’re stuck paying some combination of "processing," "ingestion," and/or "promotion" fees. If the issues in the case change or the scope widens, you have to go back to the vendor and wait days for the data you already collected to be moved into your review database. ECA is a static decision made at the moment of maximum ignorance. At the start of a case, you know the least about your facts. Yet, that is exactly when legacy software forces you to make culling decisions. If a deposition six months from now reveals a new oral contract or a defective valve, your culled data is sitting in a completely separate database. People often fear AI because it feels like a "black box." But culling data into a separate silo based on a guess you made at the start of the case is the most dangerous black box of all! The industry told us we needed a Waiting Room for data and a Review Room. But that wall is a liability. In DISCO , ECA isn't a separate database; it's just a different tier in the same database. You load everything on day one. And just to be clear: we don’t charge an ingestion fee to get your data into ECA. So there’s no downside to having it all at your fingertips. You can run analytics, search, and tag across the entire collection. If the theory of your case changes, you just move it from ECA to Active. It takes a couple of minutes, happens in the same platform, and you don’t pay a "promotion" fee to do it. Culling becomes an informed decision you make after you've seen your data, not a blind bet you make before.
Apr 2026You shouldn’t have to move your documents just to use AI. Most "new school" legal AI products are largely just expensive wrappers around the same basic AI you can already get yourself. They take a model like Claude, put a nice-looking interface on it (it’s a pretty UI, I’ll give them that!), and charge you a premium for the convenience. Worse, they operate outside your actual ediscovery database. You have to upload your documents to their tool just for it to work. That's annoying, tedious, and, frankly, unnecessary. We take a different approach with DISCO . First of all, our AI, Cecilia, isn't built around a single model with a UI slapped on top. We use a variety of models within a custom-engineered framework specifically designed for evidence review. And, crucially, Cecilia lives inside the database where your ediscovery documents are already hosted. It works at ediscovery scale. (Of course, Cecilia supports scoping, so you can choose to limit it to a specific witness's documents, a production, or any other subset.) It's also agentic: it can perform multi-step investigations across the entire corpus—but, importantly, without you ever having to move data. Want Cecilia to review millions of emails with messy threads and then, a minute or two later, create a chronology for a certain issue based on those documents? It can do that—right within the review platform itself.
