May 2026I have a very close friend, whose boss recently came down on him because of his LinkedIn content. That boss should be fired…plain and simple. Now, let’s be clear…I am definitely a full believer in being wise. I would stay away from certain topics, and yall know what those are. Just be wise — that’s the direction. But…I scanned through what this friend had posted online, and the majority of what he has posted is about the company he is employed by. It wasn't vulgar, inappropriate, or off-putting (AT ALL). It was real; it was human; it was engaging. Guess what, it turns out that people on this platform want to see REAL. They want to see HUMAN. They want to be ENGAGED. They DON’T want to see more AI slop. Anyone who has looked at my profile knows that I post like a human — because that’s what I am. Do I post about Domo a lot. Absolutely. I work there, and I love it. However, people aren’t following me on here to only hear about Domo. They care about ME. They want to learn from ME. So…make sure you are not only allowing but encouraging your employees to share and share widely (while staying within the guidelines and safeguards that have been put in place). Remember…be wise. That’s the key. But allow — actually, don’t allow — strongly encourage your people to share on here. It won’t only change things for your company. It will change things for their life.
May 2026Built a 30-minute keynote in a morning — while running meetings and getting other work done. My actual hands-on time was probably under an hour (and full transparency it helped me summarize our work here too!). The work that mattered wasn't the prompting. It was the context I brought to Claude: — the email thread with the event organizer — four recent decks I'd already built on AI — notes from a two-day AI summit I'd just attended — anonymized examples from real customer data — my corporate template specs What came out, after some back-and-forth ideation on title, framing, and structure: an outline grounded in peer-reviewed work from four universities, two custom illustrations built from real data structures, and 15 polished slides in my template. The pattern I keep noticing: the AI is only as good as the context you bring to it. Without the thread, the decks, the notes, the data, the template — generic output. With them — something I'd actually deliver. The real skill for AI-augmented work in 2026 isn't prompting better. It's organizing your own context well enough that the AI has something to be brilliant with. #AI #KnowledgeWork
May 2026Over the last week, I have trained 500+ people on Claude and the art of building with Claude and AI. We covered everything, prompting, agentic workflows, tool use, harness setup, real-world deployment. But the best part? What happened on the side. A team in marketing got curious: what if we pointed Claude at something genuinely hard? Not a chatbot. Something that required real science and related to marketing and customers. So we built NeuralLens, a tool that runs your Instagram content through Meta's TRIBE v2, a brain encoding model trained on real fMRI data from human viewers. Instead of likes or engagement rates, you get a predicted neural fingerprint: how the brains visual cortex, auditory cortex, and prefrontal regions would actually respond to each image. Here's what it does: - Scrapes any public Instagram profile - Runs each post through Meta's Tribe v2 - Returns activation scores across 20,484 cortical surface vertices - Distils this into 5 brain region scores + a benchmark vs your account average - Uses Claude to generate an Audience Intelligence profile such as archetype, neuromarketing traits, and specific content recommendations, grounded in published research. The whole thing was built in days. Backend in FastAPI, frontend in React, inference on A10G GPUs, AI insights via Claude. The question we kept asking wasn't "can we build this?" - it was "what does this tell us that analytics can't?" Turns out: quite a lot. Claude and AI doesn't just accelerate building. It changes what's worth building in the first place. Fascinating project! May 2026This morning I was practicing the piano with my nine year old. We talked a lot about two principles that can make you good at anything that matters enough to you… PRACTICE and REPETITION Whether my son wants to be great at baseball, writing, cooking, marketing, football, selling, piano, or anything else, these two principles remain the same: repetition, repetition, repetition, and practice, practice, practice. Zig Ziglar said: “Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment." I don’t honestly care if my son is a master pianist or an incredible baseball player — or anything else. What I do care about is that he knows that whatever he puts his mind to and is willing to put the effort into, he can become/do. That’s why we play sports. That’s why we play the piano. They are simply teaching mechanism. So…what is it you want to be good at, because you can do it — as long as you are willing to put in the repetition and practice it will take to become great?
May 2026We just replaced a piece of enterprise software that cost us close to 6 digits per year. 1-2 TRILLION in market cap has been erased from SaaS. It's the SaaSpocalypse. In many cases, you don't need to pay what you are currently paying to get similar or even better results. It's an exciting time. Remember that AI doesn't replace enterprise software...it sits on top of it. It operationalizes it. In an AI-driven business, your DATA is your IP. And if your data isn't in a good place, you WILL fail. Domo helps you build a data foundation that AI can effectively leverage. Domo pulls together all the apps, agents, workflows, and all the things you need to drive TRUE business outcomes -- IF your data foundation is in a good place (and that's a big IF). AI is only as good as the data you have behind it. Remember...garbage in...garbage out. Are you seeing the effects of the SaaSpocalypse in your business? Just last week, we replaced a piece of enterprise software, because our data foundation was in a good place, and we could use Domo and Claude together to build a safe, secure, and governed replacement that will save us almost six digits over the coming year (just from one piece of enterprise software). Want me to help you do the same thing? Check this out: https://lnkd.in/gZi47kwJ Pretty crazy. It's real, and it works. Let's Talk!
May 2026What if your logistics team could spot a supply chain risk before it became a problem? That's exactly what Yamaha is doing with Domo . The global manufacturer built a logistics intelligence platform that unifies transportation, warehouse, and inventory data across its entire global network and uses it to stay ahead of disruption instead of reacting to it. A few highlights: 1.) Reroute shipments around tariffs, conflict, and natural disasters using centralized maritime data 🚢 2.) Forecast warehouse space months in advance with partners 3.) Benchmark logistics partners on a single dashboard 4.) 16+ hours saved every month on reporting alone 5.) Built by the logistics team The result: risk detected earlier, decisions made faster, and a more resilient supply chain. All coordinated across logistics, sales, procurement, and production. If you're navigating supply chain volatility right now (and who isn't?), drop a comment or DM me! Happy to show you what this could look like for your team. #SupplyChain #Domo #Manufacturing #Logistics #Tariffs #Warehouse #InventoryManagement #Data #AI #Maritime #Shipping #DecisionIntelligence #Procurement #Sales #Production https://lnkd.in/evaGFUwg
May 2026If you know me, you know how deeply important my career has been to me. Every role and every colleague (many of whom have become friends) have left a significant imprint on my life. But of all the roles I’ve had, goals I’ve chased, and challenges I’ve taken on (and I sure do love a good one) over the last ~18 years — nothing, and I mean nothing, has held a candle to being their mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you magic makers!
May 2026Spending the day at the University of Wisconsin for “Ground Truth: AI For Business Summit.” I always appreciate time to think a bit more and learn from experts. Of course I had to have a little fun with AI images…from Gemini and ChatGPT (not the best representation of me….see comments for how each engine responded to my frustration.) Other interesting thing is that during part of my 4 hour drive to Madison last night I had Gemini talk to me about the speakers and various sessions. Helpful to prep for the day. Thank you Matthew Seitz for putting this on.
