A true New York moment-- we hosted Travel + Leisure's 31st annual World's Best Awards at the iconic Seagram Building in The Grill and The Pool. This legendary backdrop set the scene for an evening of celebration, as Editor in Chief Jacqui Gifford and Publisher Katy Bano toasted this year's winners on this remarkable achievement. Guests danced the night away with music from Femme Electrik and sampled the best of Major Food Group 's offerings-- spicy rigatoni from Carbone included! We poured Mianu wines with founder Regina King as we welcomed over 100+ winners from around the globe. Congratulations to this year's winners, and thank you to Capital One for your continued partnership. 📸 : Clay Williams
Jul 2026Year 3 of the World’s Best Summit - wow! Continuing to watch this Summit evolve and establish its place in the industry as a can’t miss event has been so fulfilling to see. Led by impactful keynote conversations from Chairman and Senior Executive of People Inc. and Expedia Group, Barry Diller, and Oscar-winning actress, director, and producer, Regina King, this incredible lineup of speakers was curated by Editor in Chief Jacqui Gifford. Panel discussions were moderated by our Travel + Leisure editors, and Chief Business Editor for People Inc. and Editor in Chief of Investopedia Caleb Silver served as our emcee; he also moderated The Business of Travel, a 1:1 conversation with Sarah Moore, Head of Capital One Travel, our presenting sponsor. Speaking of sponsors, thank you to all of our sponsors: AmaWaterways River Cruises, Explore Charleston, Hyatt Inclusive Collection Americas, IHG Hotels & Resorts, National Car Rental, New Orleans & Company, Princess Cruises, Singapore Airlines, TCS World Travel and Visit Williamsburg. If you weren’t able to join us in NYC, don’t fret - we are taking this show on the road, and we hope you will join us in London this October, for our first international Summit, hosted at The Dorchester. Watch this space for more information!
Jul 2026What a week it's been! Going to try and capture all of the incredible happenings for Travel + Leisure World's Best 2026 - starting with our Welcome Party. We kicked things off at the The Wall Street Hotel, welcoming panelists, moderators, and sponsors of this year's World's Best Summit to Bar Tontine. Guests sampled a taste of New York City - complete with French 75 inspired jello shots - as they enjoyed sweeping views of lower Manhattan. Thank you to our incredible hosts Prince A. Sanders, Kelly Merryfield, and Laura B. for a beautiful, breezy summer evening and for hosting many of this year's World's Best Summit panelists and sponsors at the hotel. 📸: Mackenzie Calle
Jul 2026With our World's Best Awards just around the corner, I had to take a look back at last year's celebration. Hosted by Editor in Chief Jacqui Gifford and Publisher Katy Bano at Le Jardin Sur Madison -- our incredible menu was curated by the inimitable Chef Daniel Boulud. This gathering marked the 30th Anniversary of Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards, with hospitality leaders joining us from around the globe to toast their achievements with us in New York City. Thank you to my incredible events team and all of our partners! Photos: J. Ryan Ulsh
