Drata is almost identical to VA. They compete directly. Same idea. Automated compliance monitoring.
View source postTrust with AI agents in software development and beyond is critically important to understand, and trying to create trust comes with consistent actions and the ability to observe outcomes. If you're interested in early access to Drata Agent Governance, come check it out!
Jun 2026the platforms such as ServiceNow, GRC, Drata, Vanta, AuditBoard, and the rest, they do the same thing that I just explained, right?
View source post"We're going all-in on AI, and I need you to clear the path." – CEOs and boards to the CISO. This conversation should sound familiar to anyone who lived through the early days of cloud and endpoint, as we see it happening again here with AI. I've confirmed with Drata customers, including F500 CISOs, public software companies, large financial services firms, and pre-IPO scaleups that while the setting has changed, the dynamic hasn't: New technology emerges ➡️ adoption at all costs ➡️ security and governance follow ➡️ new purpose-built security category created Cloud and endpoint proliferation led to the emergence of new security categories with purpose-built winners like Wiz and CrowdStrike . Now, AI is running the same playbook on a faster clock. The category for cross-platform AI governance is emerging but hasn't been won. Here's my take on who builds it, and why: https://lnkd.in/g6agdjZ9
May 2026What a blast last week was down in Tulum for Drata 's President's Club! When I came over to Drata in March '25 I told Landon Scott that I had 2 goals: To grow my hair out and make President's Club. I'm happy to say both goals were achieved. It's wonderful to work somewhere that recognizes and appreciates hard work! Huge shoutout to Sean McGovern for bringing me over here, because without you none of this would be possible. What a full circle moment for us to reunite at Club! And of course thank you to Landon Scott for bringing me onboard last year and supporting me every step of the way. Also another HUGE congratulations to all the other Dratanauts that achieved this honor as well. Let's make sure we're all back there again next year!

May 2026The gap between a "demo-ready" agent and one that survives an audit is the Harness, the runtime environment that manages the model's reasoning. In a regulated environment, the harness has to solve for the unglamorous stuff: Policy as a gate: Authorization must happen before the action, not as a post-output filter. Evidence as a type: We aren’t just generating text; we’re producing structured, attributable evidence. Audit Fabric: Decoupling logs from "decision trails" so an auditor can reconstruct the "why" six months later. Building agents isn't a prompting problem, it’s a distributed systems challenge involving state, identity, and failure recovery. I thought it would be a good idea to share my notes while we are building this AI harness at Drata: From Prompt Engineering to Harness Engineering. Link to the blogpost in the comments - I would love to hear your thoughts! #Engineering #AI #GRC #DistributedSystems
