Today I’m reflecting on a brilliant few days at the MIT Strategy Forum (bringing together the Marketing, Intelligence & Technology team) this week across the Data and Intelligence streams, alongside so many fab colleagues (and friends!) from across the business. Events like this are always a good reminder of the value of getting people in a room together. The conversations are richer, alignment happens faster, and you come away with a much clearer understanding of priorities, opportunities and next steps. One of the standout moments for me was the keynote from Dr. Baris Onay , which kept bringing us back to a really important question: how will this make our customers’ lives easier? And if it doesn’t… why are we doing it? There were lots of honest discussions across the week too, particularly around communication and alignment across teams. But for me, that feels like a real opportunity — because when people are connected, clear on priorities and working towards the same goals, we can move so much faster and have a bigger impact together. Lots of collaboration, energy and great conversations throughout the week — and a reminder of how important teamwork is in turning strategy into action! Really lovely to spend time with the brilliant people in the Data & Intelligence streams, meet colleagues from different functions and regions across the business, and of course have some fun travelling with the UK team too. May 2026Just got back from an inspiring few days at Elektronikmässan with the Easyfairs Nordic team 😇 I had the chance to work with the brilliant Maya Flood to see how she runs the event, especially around EasyGo and tech comms. It was really interesting to compare this with how we do things in Easyfairs UK , and I’m excited to try some of these ideas and see how they work for our events! Huge thanks to Maya and the whole Nordics team for being so welcoming and open - it was lovely spending time with you all, and massive congratulations again on a fantastic event 🎉 It also coincided with my one-year anniversary at Easyfairs - what a way to spend it! 🤩 Big thanks as well to Charlie and Samuel for giving me the opportunity to go on this trip. Hopefully we can return the favour soon and host Maya in the UK so she can see how we do things on our side too 😊
Apr 2026Just back from Paris after being able to spend a couple of days with the incredible team who were delivering Food Hotel Tech , one of our new additions to the Easyfairs portfolio in France. The portfolio also includes Tech for Retail and together they make up two leading innovative events at the forefront of hospitality and retail innovation. I am delighted to join the exciting journey ahead with the team and look forward to meeting more of this amazing community in due course. France is a key strategic market for us and so it is fantastic to be able to add these events to our growing portfolio in Paris. #Easyfairs #VisitTheFuture #Growth #RetailTech #HospitalityTech AEO Association of Event Organisers UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry Karen Serfaty Raya Pelletier Shirli Salama Helen Woodbridge Alison Willis
