My first visit to two of EBRDs new Sub Sahara African counties of operation - Maya Hennerkes and I packed a lot in 😁! Came away feeling really energised by the enthusiastic people we met and the potential projects and initiatives we will be able to support in Nigeria and Kenya to improve environmental and social conditions.
Jul 2026Please take a look at this great opportunity to work on infrastructure projects and be part of the ESD Team. The role is based in London but there will be plenty of opportunities to travel to our countries of operation. Please do share with your networks. Thank you!
Jul 2026An amazing opportunity to join EBRD as Managing Director, Risk Management to shape the Bank in its ambition to further grow in its countries of operations including Sub-Sahara Africa and to strengthen our unwavering support for Ukraine within a robust risk management framework applying the principles of sound banking.
Jun 2026Another year of great progress from Global Battery Alliance, captured in the latest Impact Report. Thank you to the Secretariat, fellow Board members and partners who contributed to this important work 👏 Inga Petersen
Jun 2026It was a pleasure to attend the International Association for Impact Assessment’s annual conference this week in Quebec Canada on Misinformation,Disinformation, Communication & Impact Assessment. I listened to inspiring peers and joined numerous presentations, workshops and discussions. A few key takeaways for me were that credible engagement, transparency, and authentic relationships with stakeholders are not only essential for impact assessments and project success—they all help to provide a means to address misinformation. AI whilst incredibly useful should be used understanding the risks and not replace professional judgment. Especially now with many risks of misinformation so high it is so important to provide quality information, listen and respond to stakeholders. Value and nurture the trust that you earn. Thank you Victoria Marquez-Mees for inviting me to join the panel discussion on Building Trust:Strengthening Accountability and Communication in Development Finance with Ethan Griesbach, Fidanka Bacheva-McGrath and Giulia Troina. So pleased to see we had a full room, great questions and positive feedback. As always it was a busy event and wonderful to connect with old and new friends. People have been so warm and Canadian hospitality, food and drink have been off the scale. Finally a big thank you to Amy Sexton and Liz Wall for being such great room mates.
