Digital health in Africa is no longer at the stage of potential. The real question now is how it is being adopted, governed, and scaled within public systems. I’ll be joining the Africa Policy Week 2026, hosted by the Hertie School Africa Policy Club, for a panel discussion on: “Harnessing Digital and Emerging Technologies for the Attainment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Africa.” My focus will be on: The current state of digital health and AI adoption across African health systems. The role of policy frameworks in enabling or constraining scale How advocacy organizations can help bridge innovation and government-led implementation Across our work at eHealth Africa , one thing is clear: Technology alone does not transform systems. Adoption, policy alignment, and institutional ownership do. I look forward to contributing to this conversation alongside other leaders working to shape the future of health systems across the continent. 🗓️ April 29, 2026 🕕 18:00 CET 📍 Virtual #DigitalHealth #HealthPolicy #AIinHealth #UHC #GlobalHealth #eHealthAfrica

When outbreaks occur, delays cost lives. In many systems, the gap between detection and response is where crises escalate. In 2025, eHealth Africa helped reduce outbreak detection time by 60% by integrating data, coordination, and real-time decision-making through Emergency Operations Centers. For me, this is a symbol of what it means to move from reactive response to system-driven preparedness. Our team has put together this compelling report for you. eHealth Africa has spent fifteen years building health infrastructure where it is hardest to reach. Our most recent program closed a meaningful chapter: 238 primary health care facilities solarised across 12 Nigerian states, 1.397 MW deployed, and a clean handover to government underway. The proof of delivery is established. The question now is what financing architecture allows a model like this to attract catalytic and blended capital at the next level of scale. On 16 April, I am joining Ota Akhigbe to facilitate a focused roundtable on exactly that, with Michael Jordan , and Patrick Ethan Meyer in the conversation. If this sits within your work, I would welcome your participation. Register: https://lnkd.in/extupJp8 #WeAreeHA #CatalyticFinance
