Last week, I had the opportunity to visit our Aachen manufacturing site and see the strong progress being made, especially around safety, quality and performance. What stood out in my conversations with colleagues was the ambition people have for this site, the focus on strong fundamentals and the clear patient focus. The team understands the importance of ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable supply of medicines, and that sense of purpose came through in every conversation. A big thank you to the team for the warm welcome. I look forward to seeing how Aachen continues to strengthen our global network and support Grünenthal Group 's growth in the years ahead. #WeAreGrünenthal

Apr 2026This will be an interesting conversation! Looking forward to seeing many familiar faces there!
I really enjoyed being invited to this conversation – especially because it gave us the chance to clear up a few recurring misconceptions between agencies and procurement. One of them I put quite plainly in the podcast: “A nice storyline with glitter and sparkle doesn’t land with procurement.” Not because procurement lacks appreciation for creativity. But because decisions here are made differently: structured, comparable, transparent – and with the bigger picture in mind. Many agencies mainly experience procurement as the bad cop who enters at the very end to negotiate rates. What’s often overlooked is this: early, open engagement with procurement can unlock opportunities well beyond contracts. Better frameworks, more clarity in pitches – and the basis for long‑term partnerships rather than one‑off wins. That’s exactly what we discuss in this episode: how agencies can use their real strengths more strategically, how to communicate in a way that resonates with procurement stakeholders, and why understanding usually gets you further than resistance. If you’re curious how procurement decisions are really made, it’s worth a listen 🎧 I’d love to hear your perspective.
