Vijay took his oath today as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Politics aside, his journey from the silver screen to the Secretariat here are 3 simple takeaways for every professional: 1. Intentional Evolution:He didn't just "switch" careers; he spent years intentionally pivoting his brand. Are you preparing today for the role you want tomorrow? 2. The Power of Listening:He mastered the art of connecting with the pulse of the people. In any job, empathy and radical listening are your greatest assets. 3. Strategic Silence:In a world full of noise, he proved that you don't need to be the loudest to be the most influential. Let your consistency speak for you. Your technical skills might get you the job, but your Personal Brand and Human Skills are what seat you at the head of the table. Success isn't just about what you do- it’s about how you evolve. #PersonalBranding #Leadership #SoftSkills #CareerGrowth

May 2026Sharing some insights that has improved my workflow in Claude Code: - Spec the task in the first turn: Instead of explaining just enough for step one and reviewing, treat Claude like an engineer you're delegating to. Provide intent, constraints, acceptance criteria, tests, and relevant files right from the start. Especially true with Opus 4.7, where extra turns add reasoning overhead. - Retro every session: At the end of each long session, conduct a structured retrospective. Assess what worked, what failed, and what the codebase revealed. I've started using a retrospective plugin from the Bitwarden and built a variation that keeps knowledge base files in sync (currently being tested), ensuring new learnings are routed correctly under .claude/rules/ instead of cluttering the root CLAUDE.md . This helps the next session pick up exactly the context it needs. - Rewind instead of correcting: If Claude goes down the wrong path, instead of typing "that didn't work, try X," simply double-tap Esc to jump back before the mistake. This keeps useful file reads intact and allows you to re-prompt with the new insights you've gained, avoiding contamination in the rest of the session. - New task means new session: While it's tempting to keep one session running indefinitely due to the 1M context, it's better to start fresh for new tasks. This prevents distractions from older work. Just paste a short brief to get going. - Use /compact and /clear appropriately: These are different tools. Use /compact when the same task is bloated with stale debugging (you can pass custom instructions to keep what matters and drop the rest), and /clear when you're genuinely done with a task. Not interchangeable. - /Simplify before reviewing: Claude tends to over-engineer. So I started using /simplify on the modified code. Saves a lot of code review friction. #ClaudeCode #AI #Anthropic #DeveloperTools #AIEngineering #SoftwareEngineering
