This weekend I had the privilege of joining the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the USCG training ship Eagle as she led the SAIL250 procession into Boston Harbor. It was a remarkable experience and a fitting way to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday. As we sailed into the harbor, one leadership lesson stood out to me: the most important work often happens behind the scenes. Whether it's the Coast Guard safeguarding our waterways, first responders protecting our communities, or the teams responsible for operating critical infrastructure, the public rarely sees the preparation, discipline, and commitment required to ensure things work safely and reliably every day. What struck me throughout the event was the shared sense of mission. The focus wasn't on individual recognition, but on serving something larger than oneself and executing with excellence. That was especially evident in the young Coast Guard cadets aboard Eagle, who are learning these values firsthand as they prepare to become the next generation of Coast Guard leaders. That lesson resonates deeply because energy security depends on the same principle. Reliable infrastructure is built and operated by dedicated professionals who consistently do the right things, often without recognition, but always with the mission in mind. My sincere thanks to the U.S. Coast Guard, and specifically CAPT Jamie Frederick, for the invitation and for their service to our nation. It was an honor to participate in this historic celebration and to witness firsthand the professionalism and dedication that define the organization, including the future leaders being developed through experiences like those aboard Eagle. #SAIL250 #America250 #USCG #Leadership #EnergySecurity #CriticalInfrastructure
Jul 2026I had a great week in Brazil connecting with our team and our partners. We were proud to officially announce the opening of our new office—an important step in strengthening our presence in South America. While there, I had the opportunity to visit the FSRU Excelerate Sequoia and our FSRU Experience, both of which continue to showcase the capabilities and innovation behind our fleet. We also spent time with our customer Petrobras, reinforcing our shared commitment to safety as a core value. Appreciate the warm welcome from everyone in Brazil and the continued partnership.
