Noah Budiansky , Francesco Colella , Bob Caligiuri and I just published an article in the Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention that highlights some of the awesome, multi-disciplinary work we get to do on a daily basis in the world of failure analysis. Check it out! https://lnkd.in/exfgjhwj I'll be presenting on this work next month at the ASM Houston Chapter's Technical Seminar on Failure Analysis at Rice University: https://lnkd.in/eGqRY4CB #Exponent #JFAP #FailureAnalysis #DayintheLife
Apr 2026I'm pleased to share my latest paper on a mode-of-action (MOA) analysis for MITC nasal tumors in rats. MITC is formed in situ after application of metam fumigants. The research demonstrated a threshold exposure concentration for MITC below which tumorigenesis will not develop. The paper is available here: https://lnkd.in/g5sGCff2 . The project was a multi-year collaboration with Melissa Badding, PhD, DABT , Bhaskar Gollapudi, Sam Cohen , and Jack R. Harkema, DVM, PhD, DACVP . The work resulted in EPA reclassifying MITC from "Likely to be carcinogenic to humans" to “Not likely to be carcinogenic to humans below concentrations that induce regenerative proliferation of the nasal cavity epithelium.” #MOA #Metam #MITC #Fumigants I have a limited number of links for a free copy of the paper. Apr 2026Happy to share that I’m attending ISASS26 presenting our research on MRI metal artifact reduction to improve clinical visualization of anatomy surrounding metallic implants. If you’re at the conference, I’d love to connect and discuss our findings or chat about Exponent’s capabilities in spine and MRI. Feel free to send me a message if you're here or want to learn more about our work. #ISASS26 #SpineSurgery #MRI #MedicalDevices #Exponent
