Attended the Data Protection & Security Summit 2026 in Melbourne, organised by Clutch Events , where industry leaders shared insights across cybersecurity, AI, privacy, cryptography, and data governance. A big thank you to the speakers, including Vasant Prabhu , Andrew Morgan , Muzamil MAICD , Venkata Valluri , Henrique Delamanha Mendonca , Muhammed Esgin , and Tim Stead , for their valuable contributions. Key takeaways from the event include: - Data protection has evolved beyond compliance and is now a core business and security priority. - As AI advances, privacy and security must be integrated into systems from the beginning, rather than as an afterthought. - The discussion on post-quantum cryptography emphasised the need to prepare today for future cybersecurity challenges. - Effective cybersecurity involves not just technology governance; strategy and collaboration are equally important. - The rapid changes in cybersecurity and data protection highlight the necessity for continuous learning and adaptability. It was a great experience connecting with professionals, gaining new perspectives, and exploring the evolving challenges that shape the future of cybersecurity and data protection. #AIGovernance #QuantumComputing #DataProtection #Cybersecurity #Privacy #AI #Leadership
May 2026WHY ASSUMPTIONS BREAK ANALYSIS I once watched a entire strategy presentation collapse in real time. Not because the data was wrong but because the assumption underneath it was. Someone had assumed customers were leaving due to pricing. Built the whole analysis around it. Beautiful slides. Solid numbers. Confident delivery. Then someone in the back quietly asked: "Did we actually ask the customers why they left?" Silence. They hadn't. The assumption was the analysis. This happens more than anyone admits. We assume last year's trend will continue and skip the verification. We assume the biggest number is the most important one and miss the real story. We assume we already know the answer and go looking for data that agrees with us. That last one has a name. It's called confirmation bias. And it is absolutely everywhere. 🎯 Here's the uncomfortable truth: The moment you assume you stop analysing. You start justifying. And justified decisions dressed up as data-driven ones? Those are the most dangerous kind. Bad assumptions don't always look wrong. They look reasonable. They look experienced. They look like "we've always done it this way." That's exactly what makes them so expensive. Before your next analysis, interrogate your starting point: ✅ What am I taking for granted here? ✅ What would I find if this assumption was completely wrong? ✅ Whose perspective is missing from this data? ✅ Am I analyzing — or am I confirming? The best analysts aren't just technically sharp. They're brutally honest about what they don't know. That's where real insight begins. 🔍 #DataAnalytics #CriticalThinking #BusinessIntelligence #DataLiteracy #DecisionMaking #AnalyticalThinking #BusinessStrategy #DataDriven #ProfessionalDevelopment #Leadership #GrowthMindset #Entrepreneurship

Apr 2026Hidden WhatsApp Security Feature You Probably Didn’t Know About‼️ A lot of people have no idea that WhatsApp includes a feature called Strict Account Settings, built for moments when your account might be under threat. It’s basically a high-level security mode that locks things down and controls how people can reach or interact with you. With how common account hacks, phishing attempts, and social engineering have become, this feature helps limit your exposure when something feels off. What does this do? • Stops media & attachments from unknown contacts • Limits who can call you or add you into groups • Secures certain settings so they can’t be changed easily • May slightly affect call quality (that’s the trade-off for extra security) When should you turn it on? • When you feel like your account is being targeted • After you’ve received any suspicious links or messages • If you’re using public or unsecured Wi-Fi • If your role puts you at higher risk (business owner, public figure, admin, etc.) How to turn it on: 1. Open WhatsApp 2. Head to Settings 3. Go to Privacy / Security (depends on your device) 4. Switch on Strict Account Settings This isn’t something you leave on 24/7, it’s more like a defense mode for when things feel risky. Stay sharp. Stay protected. #CyberSecurity #Privacy #WhatsApp #DigitalSafety #InfoSec
