May 2026✨ Some conferences just feel different the moment you walk in. BRIDGE (wearebridge) was that for me. Thank you to Sheryl Daija and the entire BRIDGE (wearebridge) team for the welcome — and to Sandra Sims-Williams for your welcome and generosity and guidance throughout the sessions. You both set the tone for what this community is. The conversations were the real gift. 💬 Victoria Russell said it plainly: "If it makes dollars, it will make sense." That framing — inclusion as a commercial capability, not a compliance function — ran through almost every session. And Carlos C. 's framing at Corewell Health was equally imporant : be a steward, not an owner. Build the work into the organization so it survives past you. The HOW is the strategy. So much of the work me and my team lead is about embedding this work in systems so it can be sustained and this resonated. Jonathan Njus and I had the privilege of co-leading a session on "How High Impact CDOs Operate Across their Enterprise" — a session exploring the capabilities that let leaders operate at true enterprise scale. Business acumen, cross-functional influencing, and strategic storytelling generated the most energy in the room. What struck me most is that the practitioners here are already doing this work. What they're hungry for is sharper language, shared measurement — and each other. That craving for community was palpable. It was a joy to connect with incredible leaders like George-Axelle Broussillon Matschinga , Alisa Dalton , Lukeisha Paul , and Kindra Wray, CPC, ELI-MP and so many others who are doing this with real conviction. 📸 One question I'm carrying forward and that folks in our session pushed us to include more of: how are CDOs thinking about AI as a capability — threat, tool, and/or competitive advantage? I'd genuinely love to hear your thinking. And if you want to keep building — the Expanding Equity Enterprise Leaders Forum is where this work continues. May 2026🤖 I am excited to join the Turkish Philanthropy Funds Innovation & Social Impact Summit in New York this week, and honored to be moderating a lunchtime roundtable on "𝑫𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝑰 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅." I am looking forward to a conversation guided by #responsibility , #intention , and #human values, with leaders who are thinking seriously about how innovation can advance equity, not widen the gaps it so often does. If you'll be at the TPF Summit, I look forward to meeting you and hope you will join this important conversation. What are the questions you hope we'll get to in the discussion? #conference #philanthropy #responsibleAI #AIforgood #digitalequity
Apr 2026Is posting salary really increasing number of women applicants? The answer depends on how broad your salary range is… This interesting article highlights a study that looked at nearly 10 million job postings and found that wide salary ranges like $60K to $160K for the same role, are quietly pushing women away from applying. This is primarily because the ambiguity feels riskier. And it compounds. Women who stick to narrower-range jobs end up negotiating less, accepting lower offers, and starting their tenure at a disadvantage that follows them for years. The fix isn't complicated though. The research found that adding a single line of context, something like how offers are typically determined, or what factors determine final pay decisions, would be helpful in close this gap. Are your job postings informing candidates or just checking a box? Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/drAj2mZH
Apr 2026For the past four years, FSG has had the privilege of serving as the learning partner for the Ares Management Charitable Foundation's Climate Resilient Employees for a Sustainable Future (CREST) Initiative: a $25M effort focused on preparing workers, entrepreneurs, and communities across the value chain for the green jobs and green economy ahead. Through our annual convenings, we’ve seen firsthand what a just transition looks like in practice: ▪️ In Thane, India, we visited a motor factory where small and medium-sized enterprises are upskilling their workforce to operate more energy‑efficient machinery and meet Scope 3 sustainability commitments for their corporate clients. ▪️ In New Orleans, we met young people and systems‑involved community members who are building new skills, strengthening local climate resilience, and earning a living wage by creating and maintaining stormwater retention parks. ▪️ And last week, we gathered in #Detroit , the heart of America’s auto industry, to better understand how large companies and their supplier ecosystems are navigating the shift toward clean energy and new mobility solutions. Beyond the “Big 3,” Detroit is home to more than 2,000 suppliers built around a combustible‑engine economy. As mobility is redefined, the question becomes: What does a just transition look like for this ecosystem, and how do we prepare for it? A huge thank‑you to Newlab , TechTown Detroit , and Live6 Alliance - Detroit for hosting us and showing what Detroit’s path forward can look like. And deep gratitude to Ares Charitable Foundation, Jobs for the Future (JFF) , World Resources Institute , and WRI India for your leadership and partnership throughout these four years of CREST. Momentum may have slowed, but the transition to clean energy and a greener economy is already underway because it makes good business sense. What these past few years have made clear to me is that while the technical interventions matter, a #justtransition is, at its core, deeply human.
