May 2026Important #raredisease technical paper from Joseph Devaney , Britt Johnson, PhD, FACMG , Mike Bamshad, and colleagues at GeneDx and Seattle Children's assessing the use of PacBio HiFi #longread genome sequencing using real-world patient clinical samples. Very high yield (99.6%) across a variety of diagnostically important alterations, with the only 2 'misses' being in the context of mosaicism. Favorable turn around time and low need for supplementary assays, but still work to be done with throughput and COGS.
May 2026Hello from the American Academy of Neurology in Chicago! It’s been a great meeting so far! So many people doing meaningful work to help their patients get answers. The passion across neurology to push diagnostics forward, especially through genetics, is real, and it’s exciting to be part of those conversations. 🧬 🧬 🧬 Great few days with this crew. Apr 2026Wrapping up a full week in NYC with gratitude and high energy. A GeneDx leadership team meeting, a board meeting, presenting at the Komodo Summit with Komodo Health , and yesterday - attending the CNBC Changemaker event, hosted by Julia Boorstin . The speaker lineup was incredible, and I met many fascinating women across industries. Some of my favorite words of inspiration: 💫 The importance of doing the right thing for the people you serve and leading with honesty and transparency - Jessica Tisch, NYPD Commissioner 💫 Friction is positive. The best teams celebrate diversity of thought. As a leader, hang on to what makes you different - Kara Nortman , Founder Angel City, Monarch Collective 💫 Embrace sliding door moments. They lead to exciting and unexpected opportunities you would have never considered - Amy Howe , CEO of FanDuel 💫 Follow your passion. Take a job that fills your soul - Amy Sheer, EVP, Women's Hockey League 💫 Fun can be fuel. Success doesn't have to be serious - Allison Ellsworth , founder of poppi 💫 What does it mean to live a life of meaning? The goal is to create works of significance and deliver breakthroughs that benefit humanity. Ask “what will be different because I’m here?” Reshema Kemps-Polanco - EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Novartis 💫 Take a bet on yourself. You are enough. Walk through fear and explore it. Try new things and remember failure is a part of life - Naomi Watts, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Stripes Beauty Thanks to the speakers for their inspiration and to CNBC for a fantastic event.

Apr 2026This morning I had the opportunity to open the Komodo Summit with the Komodo Health team. It is always inspiring to join others across healthcare and life sciences. Incredible perspectives were shared regarding how real-world data and AI-generated insights can accelerate progress and deliver meaningful patient outcomes. Thanks to Arif Nathoo , CEO and co-founder of Komodo Health, and Web Sun , President and co-founder of Komodo Health for the warm welcome. Thanks to my co-presenter Kari Neidigh , VP of Revenue Enablement, for sharing the stage with me and the wonderful story of her daughter. I enjoyed the talk with Diogo Rau , Chief Information and Digital Officer from Eli Lilly and Company and Rathi Suresh , Head of Analytics, Komodo Health. Diogo shared interesting lessons from his time at Apple and how they translate to his vision at Lilly, along with valuable insights on data quality, governance, and how to accelerate AI. It was my honor to share more about GeneDx Infinity, one of the world's largest genomic datasets. With over 2.5M genetic tests and 1M+ exomes/genomes combined with 8M+ phenotypic data points and claims from Komodo Health, Infinity is deep, representative, and includes the longitudinal journey of patients. Infinity can fuel therapeutic discovery, accelerate clinical trials, and advance research. #genomics #RWD #analytics #raredisease
