May 2026During Mental Health Awareness Month, our new research from Girl Scouts of the USA offers an important reminder: girls are navigating not only social media and technology, but now AI as a growing influence on their confidence, relationships, and emotional wellbeing. What stood out most wasn’t just that girls are using AI — it’s how thoughtfully they’re engaging with it. Many girls reported that AI can make them feel “smarter,” “funnier,” and even like a “better friend.” At the same time, they’re also navigating real questions around trust, confidence, creativity, and connection in an AI-powered world. That’s exactly why organizations like Girl Scouts matter so much right now. We've always been about helping girls build courage, confidence, and character — and this research reinforces how critical that mission is in the age of AI. Girls don’t just need access to technology; they need the skills, support systems, and opportunities to shape how technology impacts their lives and communities. I’m incredibly proud of my team for leading this research and helping elevate girls’ voices in one of the most important conversations shaping our future. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #girlscouts #AI https://lnkd.in/espjCqKS

Apr 2026Come work with us in this mission critical and inspiring #CRO role at Girl Scouts of the USA !
Apr 2026New data from Girl Scouts of the USA reveals that girls are afraid to become grown-ups in a world that’s changing faster than ever. And truthfully? I think most adults today understand where that fear comes from. The good news is our research also tells us that supportive role models can play a key role in reversing this generation’s concerns about growing up. That’s where Girl Scouts of the USA comes in. Through programming built specifically to grow with them, girls develop a strong sense of self, practical life skills, and the confidence to define success on their own terms. And when they’re encouraged by adults who prove that growing up still means being uniquely yourself, Girl Scouts can see just how bright their futures are. I love this piece by Girl Scout mom Ysolt Usigan for SheKnows . It’s true that raising a confident girl today comes with uncertainty. But when she’s backed by a supportive community of adults, she’s navigating the world around her with a trusted map. https://lnkd.in/ebhB-g8g
