I spent a couple of days this week installing and commissioning Graco’s latest plural component proportioner - Promix V - at a UK excavator bucket manufacturer, alongside Graco distributor SurfacePrep UK . We were replacing an older Promix 2KS system (still going strong after 12 years) with latest technology - a proportioner you can access and modify from a tablet or phone. An interesting project, with great results 💙

The company has many long serving team members. We recently acknowledged and congratulated one of our team members, Stuart Jackway, with his 20 year Anniversary with Graco Australia.

I found this vintage manual grease gun at a Sunday flea market. According to the owner, this antique tool dates back to around 1900–1910. He kindly allowed me not only to photograph it, but also to examine it closely. Holding it in my hands, I could really feel how difficult and exhausting lubrication work must have been for mechanics back then — done completely by hand, often in cold weather when the grease became thick like paste. In 1924, a 23-year-old Russell Gray, working at a gas station in Minneapolis, thought: “There has to be a better way.” That idea led to one of the most important inventions in automotive service history — the first pneumatic grease gun. In 1926, Gray left the gas station to focus entirely on design and production, and in April of the same year he officially registered the Gray Company. Later, in 1955, the company — already operating as Graco — introduced its legendary Fire-Ball air-powered grease pump. Thanks to its remarkable reliability, it became an industry icon recognized around the world. Today, 100 years after its founding, Graco continues its tradition of innovation and remains one of the global leaders in fluid handling and dispensing technologies. 2nd Interpack day! An exciting trade show with key conversations with customers at our Graco booth and at OEM booth. My entire life has been blessed with being on great teams. From youth sports to D1 college baseball to Graco, I have ALWAYS had incredible and supportive teammates. It was very special to be recognized by Lamar University over the weekend, as I was inducted into their baseball Hall of Fame. An individual honor that would not have been possible without the guys around me. 2002 and 2003 seem like a lifetime ago and awards like this hit different at my age. My wife got to see me play, but it was cool to have my kids there to enjoy this moment. Go Cardinals!!
