The biggest destination isn't chat GBT, which is what I would have guessed, but is in terms of the terabytes of enterprise data that's flowing to AI tools in a single year. It's actually Grammarly.
View source postSpent the weekend representing Superhuman (formerly Grammarly) at DOU Day in Kyiv - the largest event of the tech community. Besides the absolute pride and joy of speaking with attendees, I think it’s worth mentioning what conferences like this look like in the largest country in Europe, one that is actively fighting for its independence: 1. There were multiple air raid alerts throughout both days, so we had to pause the program, go to the shelter, and then return to our booths and sessions once the drones were no longer above our heads. And yet, it didn’t affect the mood or the schedule. That's how adaptable and resilient we've become. Agility is now part of our identity. 2. The entire floor was dedicated to MilTech innovation. Honestly, it was incredible. Those startups are not just competing for investment, they are literally built for our survival. Being pacifistic is a privilege we don't have here. 3. There were two memory walls with portraits of former tech employees killed in the w*r. Of course, that wasn't even 10% of the real number. So the next time you use a Ukraine-founded product, remember: there’s a real chance that some of the developers behind it are no longer here to keep building it. Sadly, Grammarly is no exception. 4. We're probably one of the very few nations in the world that actively donates on a daily basis and has created multiple creative ways to engage people in doing so. Our celebrities also attend such events to raise money by organising fun activities - you can see my happy face in one of the pictures. All in all, on days like this, nothing makes me prouder to be Ukrainian and more determined to keep building, creating, and thriving here. 💙💛
