Happy anniversary to GTI Energy’s Veritas methane measurement initiative! Five years ago, Veritas launched with an ambitious goal: to build greater confidence in methane emissions data through a collaborative, widely accepted approach to emissions measurement. Veritas has grown into a trusted industry framework thanks to a community of operators, technology providers, and academic experts who have shaped it. It has evolved beyond measurement into helping organizations use better data to make better decisions and achieve meaningful emissions reductions. I am looking forward to joining Veritas leaders, Srijana Rai and Abigail Corbett, Ph.D., to celebrate the journey and set our sights on what is ahead. We would love for you to join the conversation: https://lnkd.in/e8HnDg-A
Jul 2026Honored to celebrate the graduates of McNeese State University, my alma mater, in Lake Charles today. One thing I shared with them: success is never a solo act. It is shaped by the people who show up for you, often in unexpected ways. The ones who notice you, nudge you, and help you see strengths you may not yet recognize in yourself. In Louisiana, we have a long tradition of showing up for one another – offering a helping hand when it is needed most. Our team at GTI Energy approaches our work together in that same spirit: partnering, listening, and building with others to take on energy systems challenges. Congratulations to an outstanding graduating class from McNeese! I look forward to the change you will make in the world. https://lnkd.in/gFGaaprD
May 2026I am proud to join as a speaker at the 2026 @citizensforresponsibleenergysolutions Energy Leadership Summit tomorrow in Washington, DC. The race for global energy dominance is accelerating, and America's ability to lead depends on the decisions being made right now. The summit convenes policymakers, utility executives and clean energy advocates for substantive dialogue on the policies and technologies that will determine whether the U.S. wins that race. As an organization working every day to make energy systems better for the people they serve, we at GTI Energy believe this conversation couldn't be more critical. I'll be speaking at the summit and look forward to connecting with leaders who share our commitment to a secure, innovative and prosperous energy future for America.
May 2026🚨 The Center for Methane Research invites you to join our upcoming webinar: Hidden in Plain Sight: Using Your Existing Data to Cut Methane, Costs, and Complexity 🚨 You don’t always need new systems or shiny tools to make meaningful methane reductions. Often, solutions are hiding in the data you already have. Join us Tuesday, June 9th at Noon CDT, for an exciting upcoming webinar that brings together operators and leaders from data and technology to explore a powerful idea: how to extract new value from the data you already collect to support faster, more confident methane mitigation decisions. ✨ What we’ll cover: • Underutilized data sources • Real-world examples of repurposing existing data streams • Practical strategies to avoid the “data desert → data flood” trap 🎤 Facilitated by: Dr. Abbie Corbett 👥 Panelists: • Peter Evans ( Weel & Sandvig ) • Steve Liang ( SensorUp Inc. ) • Dorian Afanador ( Southern Company Gas) ✅ You’ll leave with actionable guidance on: • Which data you can trust and act on • How to prioritize integrations when resources are limited • How to bridge the gap from detection → decision → mitigation • What “good enough” looks like for integration and audit‑ready reporting as regulations evolve 📅 Register here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/g78Sr9Gv Feel free to share with colleagues who work at the intersection of methane, data, operations, and compliance! We hope to see you there! #MethaneEmissions #EnergyData #Webinar #MeasurementInformedInventory #DataDriven #EnergyTransition #CMR #GTI Chris Moore GTI Energy
May 2026It was great to be at McNeese State University last week, spending time with University leadership and touring the College of Engineering and its hands-on training skids with Dean Nikos Kiritsis. The impressive applied training model he has built reflects McNeese State’s long-standing commitment to practical, workforce-focused education. GTI Energy is proud to strengthen that foundation through the collaborative development of an LNG certificate program set to launch this Fall at the LNG Center of Excellence. As someone who started my journey at McNeese, I am thrilled to contribute to new pathways for the next generation. Geaux Pokes!
Feb 2026Proud moment for GTI Energy today. We are congratulating Kristine Wiley, GTI Energy’s Vice President of Low Carbon Solutions, who has been named a 2025 Women in Hydrogen 50 Honoree! Kristine’s visionary leadership for advancing hydrogen technologies is shaping the future of the industry. Her recognition is a powerful reflection of our mission at GTI Energy, which is to innovate and collaborate with others to optimize the performance of energy systems so they can have a positive impact on the people they serve. Leaders like Kristine show what’s possible when expertise and purpose come together to drive real change.
Oct 2025Reducing methane emissions takes more than technology—confidence and collaboration are key to capital providers and operators. GTI Energy is building that confidence by operationalizing credible, science-aligned measurement and verification frameworks like Veritas to make investment decisions trusted and actionable. At the same time, the Methane Finance Working Group is charting practical pathways for financial markets and O&G producers to unlock capital at scale for methane and flaring reduction projects around the world. I'll get into this topic and more with experts from Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy and PIMCO in a Future Focused webinar tomorrow.
