Embedded finance is changing the future of banking. Financial services are no longer limited to traditional banking channels. They are becoming part of everyday digital experiences through e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, mobility apps, and connected ecosystems. The institutions that lead this transformation will not only build better financial products. They will integrate finance seamlessly into customer lifestyles and business ecosystems. The real question is: Are you waiting for customers to come to the bank… or bringing banking into the customer journey? #EmbeddedFinance #Fintech #SaudiBanking #DigitalTransformation #Leadership

May 2026One of the most underestimated leadership risks is operational saturation at the top. In many organizations, executive teams and boards are becoming consumed by: * reporting cycles * governance processes * committee structures * compliance reviews * operational escalation * and short-term performance management All of these matter. But there is a dangerous tradeoff few leadership teams discuss openly: The more institutional energy spent managing complexity, the less energy remains for strategic thinking. This creates a subtle but serious governance risk: Organizations become operationally disciplined while strategically reactive. Across industries, some of the most vulnerable companies are not poorly managed. They are excessively managed. Because leadership attention gradually shifts toward controlling the present instead of interpreting the future. Strong boards understand that governance is not only about oversight. It is also about protecting space for: * long-term direction * external sensing * strategic curiosity * and difficult future-focused conversations A company can have excellent reporting discipline and still drift strategically. The real question for boards is not: “How much are we reviewing?” But: “Are we still thinking deeply enough about what comes next?” #BoardLeadership #CorporateGovernance #StrategicThinking
May 2026Gamification in Banking Is Broken Banks didn’t misunderstand gamification. They understood it perfectly. They just applied it in the wrong direction. Look at what we reward today: • Spend more and earn points • Use your card to unlock benefits • Hit a tier and feel like you’ve progressed But none of this actually improves a customer’s financial life. It just makes spending feel productive. That’s the trick. Real financial progress is usually boring: • Saving consistently • Leaving savings untouched • Paying debt off earlier • Building emergency buffers slowly over time Most banks don’t reward any of that. No badges. No momentum. No visible sense of achievement. So customers chase what feels like progress instead. Fintechs like Qapital noticed this early. They used the same gamification mechanics, but aimed them at better behavior: automatic saving, rule-based saving, and habit-building. Same psychology. Different outcome. Right now, in many banks, “winning” simply means you spent more. That’s the real problem. The opportunity is actually simple: Reward the behavior you want to see. Celebrate consistency, not activity. Build momentum around saving, not spending. Make financial progress visible - not just transactions. Because once you change what winning looks like, behavior follows. Has your bank ever rewarded you for saving consistently?
May 2026There’s a big difference between making code work and making code scale. I’ve spent my career building across the stack, from Native Mobile and React on the frontend to .NET WebAPIs on the backend. But I’ve realized that to reach that "10x" level, you need more than just language proficiency; you need to master the underlying architectural patterns. I’m making it a goal to bridge the gap between my hands-on experience and these theoretical frameworks. Titles like "Clean Architecture" and "Designing Data-Intensive Applications" are on my immediate radar to help refine how I structure complex data flows between my APIs and client apps
May 2026What started as an inquisitive discussion one evening on machine learning and human versus artificial intelligence led to a fascinating learning journey. I’m pleased to share that I’ve completed the Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Business Applications from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. This experience has enriched my understanding of how AI can enhance decision-making, strengthen risk frameworks, and unlock value across business propositions. Keen to continue exploring practical applications of AI and connect with professionals driving innovation in this space.
Apr 2026Sustainable procurement has officially shifted from the "why" to the "how." The findings from our 2026 Sustainable Procurement Barometer, in partnership with Accenture , show this transition in action: Leading organizations no longer view sustainability as just a compliance checklist. Instead, 80% of leaders now see greater ROI from supply chain innovation than from regulation alone. I am looking forward to joining Matias Pollmann-Larsen and Tara Mikhael to discuss how companies are bridging the digital gap and using AI to scale their impact. Join us on May 6 at 11:30am CEST to explore the data and see how businesses are turning sustainability into measurable progress. 🔗Register for the series here: https://ecovad.is/3Ol0HX7 (Cannot attend live? Apr 2026Strategy discussions often focus on clarity, ambition, and market opportunity. But the real test of strategy is not how well it is presented — it’s how well it performs under pressure. I’ve seen strong strategies fail not because they were flawed, but because they weren’t stress-tested against real-world complexity. Strategy is not a presentation. It’s a set of assumptions exposed to reality. The real question is not: “Is this a good strategy?” It’s: “Where will this fail — and are we ready when it does?” #BoardGovernance #Strategy #Banking #Execution
