What does the future of ServiceNow look like? Last week I flew to Las Vegas for #Knowledge26 to find out. A huge thank you to Haufe Group & Haufe Group Romania for making this possible! The whole week was simply amazing. From all the hands-on sessions and keynotes I attended, here's what stayed with me the most: ServiceNow is slowly but surely reinventing the whole platform through the new EmployeeWorks experience and also by putting the AI Control Tower to the center of everything. The idea is to grab, connect and collect all of the agentic interactions of any sort happening across your organization, so that you get full visibility and control over anything that deals with AI in your company. Some of the coolest sessions and hands-on labs I attended were around, of course, AI Agents, the Google A2A protocol and a really interesting one where we integrated an AI agent into Flow Designer, which I think leaves room for so many possibilities. What I also loved is the fact that they are working really hard on the ServiceNow SDK, pushing to make it possible to build any feature using it so that anything that we can do in the native view can also be built via the SDK from any IDE or directly inside Build Agent. I'm super excited for the day when you can literally build anything through the SDK. The future looks bright for ServiceNow. Super happy to finally meet the man behind the community movement, Mark Pergola , and also Laszlo Balla , who both helped us so much with the local ServiceNow community in Timisoara. It was just great to finally meet you both in person! Also had some really cool conversations with Tim Rebeschieß from agineo , all the respect for what you guys built! Thank you Manuel Herborn and Stefan Kieslich for all the great memories! 🙏 Other honorable mentions for great conversations: Enes Altan Yüksel , MARK BRADBERRY , Matthias Weisenburger, Sandeep Rajput , Mathieu GERARD , Jay Couture , Patrick Wilson and Martin Virág. This trip made me feel a responsibility to bring this perspective and energy back to the local community. With that being said, the next ServiceNow Developer Meetup in Timișoara is coming soon and we will announce it here shortly. 🚀
May 2026FinOps Mentoring: What Six Months as a Mentor Taught Me. The mentoring is ending – but the impact remains. 🎓 In August 2025, I started my role as a mentor in the FinOps Foundation Mentoring Program – running from September 2025 through March 2026, across 6 shared sessions. What began as a structured 6-month program has shaped me more than I ever expected. Why I became a mentor: I had been practicing Cloud Financial Management long before the FinOps Foundation even existed. The knowledge I gained – and especially the hands-on insights from all those years – were never meant to stay with me alone. I wanted to pass them on. 🤝 What surprised me the most: 🔍 Getting a glimpse into an organization significantly larger than Haufe Group was fascinating. Where we often take the pragmatic, direct route, larger organizations require more alignment, more formality – and sometimes more politics. 💡 But that's exactly where smaller companies have an edge: shorter paths, personal connections, faster decisions. The bigger the organization, the more coordination it takes – and the more valuable agility becomes. 🪞 And the most important thing my mentee Eunice Naliaka passed on to me: Ask the right questions. Always challenge whether what you do day in and day out is still the right approach for the current situation – or whether there's something you can learn from the person across from you. Mentoring, to me, is not a teacher-student relationship. It's a conversation between equals – a mutual exchange of experiences, perspectives, and knowledge. A big thank you to my mentee Eunice Naliaka for the open, honest, and enriching exchange. I'm looking forward to stay in touch! 🙏 And thank you to Jonathan M. from the FinOps Foundation for creating this program. Would I do it again? Not just that – I've already applied for the next round. ✅ I'm looking forward to staying connected with my current mentee Eunice Naliaka and getting to know a new one.
